I'm sure if you have the ability to create a device/ship that can propel you at the speed of light that you can obviously create a force-field like shield.

Things aren't that close together really.
Also, presumably you wouldn't use your light speed drive in a star system where there's debris everywhere. You would only use it in the space between star systems where there's nothing to hit.

Not to mention the fact that you wouldn't be able to see said asteroid. Because you would be traveling faster than light, which is how the human eyes sees. And the light reflecting off the asteroid would never make it to your eyes before you hit the bisch. #mindblown

Speed of light is always the speed of light, regardless of how fast you are traveling. Meaning if you emitted a light beam from the front of your space ship traveling at the speed of light, that ray of light would fly away from your ship at the speed of light.Originally Posted by Faparama
