Smile CanadianAthlete's Road To The OHL

Well, this is my second log running at the moment. For the Unawares, this is my first log, and its still running : http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=145965253 Thats were I log my workouts and lifting related things.

This log will be used for my pylometrics, explosiveness, and conditioning training. Since this is my last year before draft year, I think it would be good to train harder than before. Ultimately, my goal is to become more conditioned, quicker feet , stronger legs, and ofcourse to play in the OHL.

Just made a rough routine right now, please help fix it if needed. So far it goes as follows :

    Day 1 :
    Standing Triple Jump - 2 x 10 reps (1-2 min rest/set)
    Box Jumps OR Depth Jumps - 2 x 10 reps (1-2 min rest/set)
    10m sprint x 5 (1 min rest/set)
    20m sprint x 4 (2 min rest/set)
    30m sprint x 3 (2 min rest/set)
    40m sprint x 2 (2 min rest/set)
    50m sprint x 1

    Day 2 :
    Ankle Jumps - 5 Sets x 3 Reps
    High Depth Jumps - 4 Sets x 5 Reps
    40 Yard Sprints - 3 Sets

    Weights:
Explosive Box Squats - 8 Sets x 2 Reps (Rest 1 minute between sets)
Power Cleans - 6 Sets x 2 Reps (Rest 1-2 minutes between sets)
    Squats : 3 sets x 12 reps

    Day 3 :
    Skipping rope : 5-10 Minutes
    Jump Squats : 3 sets x failure
    Burpees : 5 sets x 12 reps

    Something like that...Wish me Luck!

In again, I suggest you check out the NFL Combine Trainer and the other articles in vertical jump etc in the workout section.

Also I wouldn't expect many replies to your log in this section, sports training section is dying, that's why I made a new log in the teen one. Strong vertical though!

Thats fine, just a few people would be awesome. I want to get my vertical up to around 27 inches and 1 mile in 5 minutes.

    Reasonable right?

Definitely reasonable, if your on a good program and constantly train your fast twitch muscle fibers you can get your vert up
