OP, if you want to be a Pro IFBB competitor one day, I notice your in Australia.
Check out the dates for the NPFC (Australia's IFBB Amateurs):
- Western Australia Championships - Perth WA October TBA
Mike O'Mara 0414 443 254
- Victorian Championships - Melbourne Victoria October 13th 2012
Tony Doherty (03) 9388 0866
- Queensland Championships - Caloundra Queensland October 14th 2012
Paul Graham 0417 203 976. Carole Graham 0410 403 530
- NSW and National Championships - Sydney NSW October 20th & 21st 2012
Paul Graham 0417 203 976. Carole Graham 0410 403 530
Go and see it in person, Evan Centopani is here guest posing this year. But check out the juniors and the weight classes to get a better idea of how it all works.
Then maybe plan to compete as a junior next year at your state titles.
Also Tony Doherty has a thread on this forum, he is in charge of the IFBB Pro league in Australia. He hosts the Grand Prix and also his amateur All States comp, which has the pro qualifier too.
Your years off but check it out and plan to compete next year sometime, instead of thinking to compete as a Pro today, think about your first contest, and then the next and next... Until you win Mr. Australia and can go for the World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships or Tony Doherty's Pro Qualifier.
Looking at your profile, let yourself add a bit of fat up to 14% then come back down to 7-8% before the comp. You need to add side and you can and will with hard work. But I'm guessing you need to be aiming to add 5-10KG of lean muscle.
Give it your best and focus on the short term comps, good luck.
-- Oh and maybe hunt around for a top Amateur or Pro Australian to show you a thing or two, it'll help a lot I'm sure.

Not to shatter your motivation but there has to be some minimal realistic calculations through out the process of making it happen or either you'll end up disappointed.
Remember, the people you see on the Olympia stage are genetically gifted individuals, and by taking drugs they further on enhance the process of muscle growth which puts them in the top of the world.
For example, look at how Lee Priest and Kai looked at ;
13
19
Kai Greene at 19 years old
Put that aside, it's a sad fact that you won't get on the Mr.O stage without any enhancements coming from drugs.
You can try Natural Mr.Olympia though.
I personally don't think they're 100% natural there neither.

For sure, guys in natural shows today are bigger then Frank Zane, Chris Dickerson, Sammir and Franco were and even though those guy's all admitted to using AAS and all ate themselves crazy but hey, they just didn't have the muscletech supplements and those other crazy ass pre workouts of today. Celltech will get you 20 inch arms like we see in these natural shows and Shredded massive quads, just yeah be careful only cycle it 6 weeks on 6 weeks off!
Bodybuilding is all about image not numbers, when you're up on stage your lifting stats and bodyfat % means nothing to the judges.
