    That's pretty impressive. That's about what I end up doing on VD. I could see going up to 10 minutes between sets on Smolov.

    I hate Smolov. And squatting.



    Somehow made it through this workout. I actually felt stronger Monday night than Friday night, which was a good thing. It was a mental battle starting in that 3rd set. The last rep of the 3rd-5th sets was a grind, but I think I had at least one more rep per set. Challenging but not as tough as last Friday's workout, since that one gave me the confidence that I can complete this one.

    Notes
    * I thought Wednesday night's Smolov session would be tough, because I had just done 380x5x5 Monday night. Hips were still very tight so I took extra time on the elliptical to warm up. Also did extra dynamic stretching - leg kicks, bodyweight squats - to loosen them up. It all worked because my hips were feeling good once I got under the bar.

    * I was feeling very strong tonight. Warmups were easy, and even the 370 single flew up. I knew that all I had to do was focus on each rep and I would be able to hit at least the first 405x3.

    * That set turned out easier than I had expected. Felt like I had 2 more reps, although the second one would probably be a grinder. The second 405 set was a little harder, mainly because I wasn't as focused on it.
