Have any of you guys ordered replacement pads from Full Circle? I'm seriously considering replacing the pads on the Nebula bench I picked up the other day, but I was curious if the replacements from FC are identical to the originals with the mesh stuff on the sides or if they're all vinyl. I know I'll probably have to contact them and ask, but I thought somebody here might know.
I only need to replace the seat and back pad, so it's important that they match the leg hold-down in color, material, and pattern.Last edited by Stasher1; 02-04-2014 at 06:47 PM.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I take it you're flipping?
You might want to check an area auto upholstery shop - if the padding is good, you might be able to replace all the fabric (so it matches) for less than the new pads.
I have been meaning to get the pads to the GHD over to a shop for an estimate, but when I finally went the other day they were closed. Because the pad covers are so basic, I have thought about going to JoAnn Fabrics and asking one of the women working there to sew me new covers on the side.Boomer Rep Crew #1

since this pic has been reposted and keeps showing up on my screen; honestly I think we make a better story than your homemade strap breaking and you diving into your lat machine.
I am thinking something along the lines of you trying to give a hawk mouth-to-mouth and the hawk getting excited.Boomer Rep Crew #1

take it to an upholstery shop. Actually how is it held on?
On my Parabody bench, the foam had slid off center and was permanently deformed off to the side. I pulled the cover off and just trimmed the foam back (couldn't find foam the right density) and stapled the cover back on.Boomer Rep Crew #1

It's like most, just wrapped over the edges and stapled in place. I thought about just having a local shop redo the pads, but if I'm going to invest any money into this thing, I may as well go all the way and have new ones made. After all, I only have $85 ($90 after taxes) in this thing. I think it's worth investing another $150 in pads."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

My daughter or son named him, I don't remember which. There's also a phone number below his name, in case he escapes, but you can't see it because I edited it out so it just looks like a black tag.
We don't have any dogs, but our other cats are named McGonagall, Freckles, Callisto, and Molly.
McGonagall was named after the Harry Potter character who can transmogrify (if that's the right word for it) into a cat. My daughter thought that she matched the description of Minerva McGonagall's cat markings as described in the first book. McGonagall was our first cat. We didn't know it at the time, but she arrived pregnant. We thought at first that she was just getting fat, but we eventually figured it out. McGonagall looks a lot like her son, Tiger, but Tiger is a lot bigger.
Freckles is McGonagall's daughter and was so named because of the spots on her face. If it weren't for those spots, we wouldn't have been able to tell her apart from her siblings Kalamazoo and Clementine (who I named). We found homes for Kalamazoo and Clementine. Here's a shot of Freckles hanging out on the roof of our house:
Here is McGonagall scolding her daughter for going out on the roof:
Tiger is Freckles' brother. Yes, his name comes from fact that he has stripes. Tiger is tall enough to reach up and open doors that have lever handles. He likes to sneak up on his sister, but Freckles usually does not want to play his games.
Callisto was a feral cat that we brought in from outdoors. We called her mother "Calico" which served both her name and as a description of her markings. (Calico cats are white with black/grey and brown/tan spots.) We speculated at first that one of Calico's offspring was a male because it was so large. I named it Calvin, but we found out later on that calico cats are almost never male, so she got renamed to Callisto. Here's a shot of Callisto and Tiger together:
Callisto also likes to work out with me. Here she is on my bench. Her workouts consist mainly of balancing on kettlebell handles. (I don't have a decent photo of that yet.)
Molly was a very sick kitten when we brought her inside. She pressed her face up against the door and looked both pathetic and cute at the same time. We didn't have the heart to turn her away. The vet didn't think she'd make it, but she somehow survived, so my wife named her Molly after (the unsinkable) Molly Brown, survivor of the Titanic.

Cute brood KB, and I love the names. I've always had cats, but never more than two, lol. Dogs I've had as many as four. I've had a female calico, and did not know that almost all calico's are female, even though everyone that I've known was a female. I guess I'm just a little dense, lol.

Calico cats are (almost) always female because the X chromosome determines whether a cat will be black/grey or brown/tan/ginger. Males have one Y chromosome and one X chromosome, so they can only have one of these sets of colors. But a female cat has two X chromosomes (just like all other female mammals) which gives rise to the possibility of having both black/grey and brown/tan/ginger markings. It may happen that a female cat's X chromosomes will have the same color, either black or tan, in which case the cat will be a black or brown cat, but possibly with other markings too which are determined elsewhere in the genetic code. If it happens that one of the X chromosomes has a genes for black markings and the other X chromosome has genes for tan markings, then the result will be either a tortoiseshell cat or a calico cat. (A tortoiseshell cat has either no white or a very limited amount of white fur.)
Whether or not a cat will have white in its fur is somewhere else its genetic code.
The exact pattern of black and tan markings in a tortoiseshell or calico cat is determined randomly in the early embryonic stages. As such, if you take genetic material from a calico cat and create a clone, the clone will not have the same pattern of spots as the original. Pretty cool, huh?▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

I tried using the "Search Forum" tool a moment ago with the keyword "belt", but came up with surprisingly few hits. Only 9 hits and the belt sticky wasn't even one of them! I ended up using Google to find the thread I was interested in. Several of us had posted photos of our belts which I added to the thread started by the newbie asking about belts and chalk.
I think the current belt sticky is pretty lame. The first post of that thread is fine, but after that there's a whole lot of "great post" and "this should be a sticky", etc. Very few posts actually discuss which belts are good. I guess I could add a post to the end of it which mentions that the most frequently recommended belts here are Best Belts, Inzer, and Cardillo, but you'd have to be a pretty tenacious reader to make it that many pages into the thread just to find this one nugget (which I probably won't add). If we have to have a belt sticky, we've had some better discussions which are only a page or so long.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

I agree. My uncle once told me a story about when he was a kid he had a neighbor about his age who strung a cat up by its feet and set it on fire. This was in the sixties. He then told me that he read a news article about the guy killing several family members in the eighties.

I ordered a pad from them last year for a hammer flat bench. First pad came with two bad spots on the side. Called them up and they next day aired another pad. They told me to put the other pad in the new box and set it on the porch and UPS will come the next day and pick it up (in which they did). Bad thing is the second pad they sent also had one bad spot on it but I just kept it and will deal with it later if it gives me problems. I would send them a small sample of the old fabric to see if they could match it.
Here is a pic of the first pad they sent
