I'm blessed (or cursed - depending on what I'm trying to do) with an extremely fast metabolism, so my carb load is pretty much anything I want on at least one carb load a week. So at the beginning of the cut, a large Cracker Barrel Breakfast with French Toast covered in baked apples, Krispy Kreme Donuts, and Pizza are all on the menu. I try to only blow it out a couple of hours before and a couple of hours after the workout. Since I schedule the really bad food day on the weekend, I often try to get two workouts in on that day. This generally will consist of a strength focused weight workout earlier and a cardio focused weight workout later in the day (or possibly sprints). If I'm doing the cut 6 to 8 weeks I'll get stricter on the last 2 to 3 weeks when I have less fat to cut and it gets harder to shed bodyfat.

I yo-yo diet the opposite way a person trying to lose weight does. Since I have trouble gaining, I usually spend the winters eating as much as I can. I usually gain anywhere from 20 to 40 lbs in 4 to 6 months. I generally cut weight from March to mid May. The first two weeks I just back off all of the calories I've been consuming and eat normal, that generally leaves me with 6 to 8 weeks to actually cut before our annual late May vacation (scheduled around our anniversary). Over the years, I've slowly added and retained more and more muscle.
I started doing this when I was in my early 30s and weighed about 145lbs. I was dedicated for about 3 or 4 years and then off and on for the next 5. I've been pretty dedicated for the last 4 or 5. I'm currently at about 200lbs with the same level of bodyfat I had at 145lbs. In the current Avatar I weighed 195lbs.
I've tried a clean bulk on a couple of occasions, but had trouble eating enough clean calories to gain any weight, and quickly reverted to the dirty bulk.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

It is time......
Ok, this post is going to make some happy and others.... not so much, but that's life I guess. I did it as fair as I could with some help from the fellas, and this is what we came up with for our new.... MEMBERS!
I got nominations and from that I came up with four names that got multiple requests....then I sent pms to everyone to vote on those four names. I got votes from 14 of 39 members (including myself). I gave a couple of options..... first, we've always only selected one.....but we hadn't picked anyone for awhile... so I gave the guys the option of picking 2 or all. The consensus was to vote for 2 right now...... and the votes were pretty weighted in favor of two dudes who've been doing a great job posting. Out of 28 possible votes (14 x 2 for each member)......these two fellas each got 12 votes.... so its hard to say they haven't been appreciated.
So, without making this too much of an epic post.....
Let me congratulate the newest editions:
#42 Twodog
#43 Proteinandiron
I'm not sure if this is an honor or not, guys...... but here's your sign:

Thank you Keet for running the vote, and to all of the Crew involved in voting ! It is truly an honor, of which I will do my best to keep up with you guys.

Congrats guys. I think it's about time I started my campaign for the next round of votes. I just ordered a crossbreed supertuck inside the waist band holster for my M&P9c. Anyone have experience with this brand of holster or can tell me if I made a good choice?
For this guy
Anyone have experience with this Maxicam low row, prone leg curl, leg extension combo? I am finalizing a deal with a local fire station to buy their gym and this is one of the pieces.
Nothing is impossible.

I'm on the opposite side, my genetics let me hold fat. It's kind of weird for me though, I seem to put weight on pretty slow no matter how bad I eat, it's just hard to get rid of the fat. I'm probably going to go with something similar to what you are doing for a bit, I think it will make it easier to stick with if I know I get to eat the stuff I'm craving.
Congrats!
Good to know, I'm in the market for an IWB holster as well."If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

If you guys are interested in fat loss and carbs I recommend checking out the book CBL 1.0 ( carb back-loading). I am about 50 pages into it and love it so far. Some really interesting ideas but all backed by research. Limit carbs early in the day when insulin sensitivity is highest and then crush carbs Dumb.bell style in the evening after workout. I have dropped 15 pounds in 1.5-2 months by drinking low carb meal replacement shakes during the day and a double meat double brown rice burrito bowl at night.
Nothing is impossible.

#16 used to be BlueRain. I don't know why she left the crew.
#20: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...#post324434241
Basically, it looks like #20 was assigned to BigToddy, but he either never used it or stopped using it.
And... FWIW, this thread is open to everyone.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35
