Good luck everyone! My goal is to be the healthiest I have ever been in my life and obtaining a 6 pack in the process wouldn't hurt. I have found that straight up bulking does not suit me as I just end up getting sick. So this fall and winter I will be remaining lean and getting even leaner while pursuing strength gains across the board!

mom2e3 added my pics for me to the women's page the other day and I just added my measurements to the women's page. Please let me know if I have fulfilled the requirements for the challenge so far if you have the time.
How is everyone else doing in this challenge so far? Anyone else as excited as me to get after it? I just broke my foot last week (hence the stupid boot in my pics). I am already over not being able to do pretty much anything but I am going to try and focus on upper body lift this month, diet and I guess the good ole stationary bike...
Would love to hear how you all are starting off this challenge?

Well, you know me. I'm going to be very diet focused. Staying the same weight, while cutting fat and growing muscles is going to be a new thing for me. I'm so used to losing weight, and mostly at the cost of muscles. I figure I'll have to do some heavy reassessing during the journey to make sure I'm meeting goals. I figure I really have to take this one month at a time.

Thanks for the support mom!
Curious if you don't mind answering a question? What will be your approach? Reason I ask is that I have been cutting for 9 months and my strength gains are starting to peak. I wanna keep adding weight to the bar (ordered some micro plates) but I also want to lose another 20-25 pounds before I even think about eating at maintenance or at a surplus. Thanks in advance.Weighed - 281 lbs on 1/1/2012

Looks like everyone is posting some pretty intense and serious goals...SUPER motivating to read. I am going to go ahead and follow suit by setting some high standards for myself. By the end of this challenge I would like my weight around 120 LBS with visible abs on the beach in my bikini so body fat down to maybe 15-17% after a dry out for the end of the contest? LETS DO THIS THING!!!

I can workout with the best of them, currently doing crossfit, totally addicted. About to start training for my first 10k. My downfall is my diet, i need to wire my mouth shut. I get bored and start eating. Thankfully my husband is doing this comp to support me. Im sure he will be giving me the "should you really be eating that look" a lot during these next few months.

You stated that you have around 20 pounds you want to lose so if that is your primary goal I would let the strength gains take a back seat if you want to remain the most efficient. This way you could focus on losing your last pounds and just maintain your strength. If you want to lose the fat a little slower, but have an easier time making strength gains I would recommend recomping your body, utilizing calorie cycling and fasting coupled with a low rep range focusing on compound movements.
Ultimately whatever works for you man. Congrats on the weight loss!
