Regular stocks can go up or down usually by 1-3 percentages usually, unless they just released some new shiit.

Penny stocks can go up A LOT. Even 1,000%.


EDIT: Penny stocks can even go down 1,000% lol. Hell it might not even exist the next day LOL.

i have no experience with penny stocks.

penny stocks are non-nasdaq, unlisted, usually trade for less than $5/share

they are highly speculative

ppl often try to promote penny stocks in "pump and dump" schemes where they pick a stock, hype it up, and artificially increase the price with buy pressure. the ones who are in on the scheme cash out and then the price falls rapidly, screwing over everyone else who got suckered in and is now left with a worthless stock

What kind of work

A lot of research on the company, mergers/big news/etc.,past prices, know how to read all the charts. Otherwise you'll be investing in stocks that are just hyped up and end up stuck with them on the downturn losing a chit ton of money. Also with penny stocks usually when you're up 10-20% you get out regardless of whether or not you think it will increase even more due to their volatility. Much better to get smaller consistent gains instead of hoping for a few big ones.
