From someone with a lot of penny stock experience here is my 2 Pennies:
1. Assume all penny stocks are scams. This is the case about 99.9% of the time. They are selling shares not a product and dilution will kill you.
2. Get in and get out. Do not hold a penny stock. Get it on the rise and get out before the top. Take the middle chunk of its ride. This ride could last only a few hours or even less.
3. Do not learn anything about the company. As I had mentioned in #1 they are scams. Just follow the chart and when the chart says its about to turn GET OUT.
4. Get in with stock promoters. If you can bring them a lot of people they will sometimes give you a heads up when a company has employed them to promote (companies do this to dilute shares into a run).
5. Have fun. They are a great thrill and if you have a great group of people you guys can do better than on your own.

The other thread was deleted because IDIOTS openly admitted to pumping a stock in order to generate momo to dump, which is illegal by SEC rules. Do I need to name names? Said person got so scared he deleted his ******** account.
I already mention PPHM and BBDA are long term holds.
I will not contribute to this thread because I'm done with jealous haters and it doesn't help me any. I was just helping out the MISCers. Goodluck trading guys!

There are two ways to look at a stock: Technically and fundamentally. Technically refers to the stock chart looking for patterns. Fundamentally means understanding the company's products, their financials, reading their 10k, 10q, etc. Since this is usually not put out or is lies in the penny stock world, technically is the "safer" way to go.
Charts are offered by every brokerage. I like the Think Or Swim platform offered by TDAmeritrade. You can also learn a lot about stock charts from stockcharts . com.
I do not buy/sell penny stocks anymore but you can use td, etrade, scottrade, etc. There are few others out there but I would stick to the regulars.

Thx, repped. Downloaded think or swim will do some research before I put money into the equation
How do you guys go about finding companies to decide on? I see theres tons of articles on nasdaq.com about penny stocks, promising companies etc. Would it be a bad idea to look into things like that or noLast edited by kfx450r; 09-17-2012 at 10:07 AM.

Penny stocks are hard to "find". You won't beat the frontloaders (the stockpromoters and BOD) and you need to be faster than the general public who srsly believe in the company (lol@them). The former get the stock really cheap and sell to the latter. The latter end up being a bagholder when the stock takes a dive. The trick is to buy somewhat low from the frontloaders and sell higher to the hopeful. ShayZ would have more help on where to look these days. I had a few circles back in the day where we could divvy up the grunt work to find potentials.

Also by quick look BBDA looks to be on its way down for a long while. It looks to have had its run. It might get a jump here soon as a "pennant" is forming. I would say its at .008 here in the next few weeks if not lower.
