Most uncared men of new world countries of mainly British/Irish descent are generally not an aesthetically group of people to show as example of beauty, they are average at best, with a large portion of them being way below average (friggin ugly), that applies to so many brits, irish, canadians, americans, australians, and new zelanders I've seen. On the other hand I could post groups of some scandinavians, dutch, germans (specially from north and west), flemish belgians, czech, hungarians, slovaks, where the vast majority of people are goodlooking.

Most Dutch people I know are good looking. I also think that central Europeans are underrated since they kind've fly under the radar. But I'm under the belief that each region has their good and bad looking people... including Britain (I'm not British... 0%). For guys, I think that dark hair with fair skin and a robust appearance is probably best. Not necessarily Mediterranean as they're usually gracile looking as someone else said. I also think that dark hair and very fair (fairer than the ideal in men) is best on women. But that's just my biased opinion. Light brown hair is probably the worst hair colour as I think you said before.

Irish people are almost never good looking though. They usually look something like Seth MacFarlane, Conan O'Brien, Or Dr. Phil. Huge round heads.
