The SEALs will take it. MMA fighters tend to go to the ground right away. That's the worst place to be in a fight to the death and out numbered. SEAL on each guy and once they go to the ground SEAL3 stomps the bridge of their nose instant kill. MMA also doesnt practice kill techniques like SEALs do. CQB is designed to take guys who are trained to fight.

Silva and Jones are both fighters with long reaches that tend to fight from a distance.
Also, mma does practice techniques that can be used to kill, they are just not applied that way in the cage. Imagine Jones not letting go of a choke hold or Silva continuing to punch/kick someone in the head after they have already been KO'd.

I've been in "the special forces" ( lol ) in my country, and the hand to hand combat is laughable. It's mostly rudimentary jab-cross, hook and using your weapon and or knife, it's not taken seriously at all because it incredibly rarely happens.

What's important to the "Navy seals" is proficiency with their gun.

SEALS are overrated IMO. My brother and two of our mutual friends are SEALS and, honestly, I could easily beat the **** out of all 3 of them...and my brother was one of the top in his BUDS class and is a sharpshooter.

When it comes down to it, you can know all the techniques that you want, but that will not necessarily make you a good/effective fighter. Realistically, some people can fight, some can't.

They can learn all the locks, holds, and crosses they want, but the second I "open up like a son of a bitch" on the inside, as Tyson once said, they'll get KTFO.

Whether the fight is to the death or not, it should not be a factor. It's all about who damages who the most and who is the better fighter. It's the MMA fighters in this case.

There's NO secret technique you learn, I know this from experience. "seals" have **** muscle memory for "fighting". lol.

Got a good point there. Seals are trained in tactics, mma fighters only know how to fight one on one, I think seals would take it on collaboration.

The *only* thing that makes me think the seals have a chance is that they outnumber the fighters. Being a seal is elite, no doubt...but their skillset covers so much. They can't afford to spend that much time on hand to hand combat. In fact, I bet many would tell you that if they even get into a hand to hand combat situation, they've already ****ed up.

The seals would surely take on average joe in a fight, but against guys who train nothing but combat all day every day...unlikely. Next you'll tell me that they'll beat Lebron James in Basketball just by virtue of being Seals?
