I assure you, making deposits won't be a problem lol.

I think many of the reviews out there are sour grapes by crappy traders.

Like you said it only becomes a problem when withdrawing winnings.

If you want the best and safest way to trade currencies I recommend futures, but futures require a lot more start up capital normally, but it is a heavily regulated market unlike forex yet you can trade many of the exact same instruments.

Stay away from plus500 and OctaFX, I don't know anything about them best to let other people trail blaze with those brokers.

If you are from the US many brokers won't accept you as a client. In which case I personally would use Oando, or Alpari - I think both are regulated by the NFA but you need to check in advance.

My previous brokers where ETXcapital and now Alpari - ETX didn't offer forex at the time (they do now) so I left them, but they were a great company

Yeah, Im not american nor live in the US, do you know why is it that they don't accept american clients ? I guess I'll bite the bullet and make a very small deposit on Oanda and see what happens from there.
