My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. I am currently 130 lbs but I feel like I should lose at least 5 lbs to have more leeway when I am pregnant and gain weight. Do you think I can lose 5 lbs in a month with a good workout plan and diet?

No. To lose 5lbs in a month will be rather taxing on the body, and then you'd need probably another month at maintenance to get everything back up to speed. And at 5'6" and 126 lbs, I'm surprised you'd think you need to lose more weight? What is the rationale behind that? Are you not already pretty lean at that weight? And seriously - if it's only going to take a month to lose 5lbs, why worry about it right before you're going to start gaining again? Why not just give yourself an extra month after the baby is born to lose it?
