do any of you guys have experience with "diagnostic medical sonographers"? pay looks pretty good, ranges between $30-40/hr
reason i'm interested is that i got my B.S. in exercise physiology, worked in physical therapy, collegiate coaching/training, and now working with professional athelete(s), but im really over the "physical" field. Hospital based jobs appeal to me because they pay/location flexibility is better (much better) and as much as i hate people, helping them is enjoyable as well. RN doesn't appeal to me because i dont enjoy the "nitty gritty" involving bodily fluids/dealing with really sick people/etc, sonography piques my interest because its more "hands off" and involves specializing in a very specific skill. Friends have reccomended PA but i honestly dont think i have the resume/quals to get into those ultra competitive programs.
reps for any helpful feedbackTrump 2016

you need to go outside of work. And i think you need to raise the bar....
I<3 Tinder. But try all of them. Hell, I even did a paid dating service where they set you up (massive waste, a bunch of low energy duds on there, but someone elses experience could be different.) The way I looked at it was the more people I interacted with the more opportunity I had to meet someone I actually liked. simple statistics. And I met someone who turned out to be a straight up winner. What's Spicy Training For?? LIFE MOTHER F-ER!

You're lucky you're not a pilot otherwise I'd be taking over like I am now
edit: I'm cucked to a pilot
Age: 23. Just taking what I can get while I'm still a youngin I'm sure I'll meet someone along the way. Did Tinder a couple times and found nothing but a bunch of attention whores. Not everyone can be good looking and pull OBs, spicy...Last edited by guyman123; 05-20-2017 at 03:01 PM.

Been lurking for a bit but finally gonna jump in the thread. Just recently got accepted to a PA program and been looking at scholarship opportunities.
Anyone itt had experience or know someone that has done any military type scholarships? Been looking into a navy one that offers to pay for school + monthly salary and other benefits for three or so years minimum of service. Seems like a great opportunity to get set up for the future once school is all over with

What do you mean by that? Definitely understand that it is a 3 year commitment and all the extra duties that come with being in the navy on top of that but ~100k in loans being paid for is enticing. All the training and education that I could gain from joining also makes it seem as though it's worth at least applying for.

damn brahs anyone know of a good field where I can make money fast? Im turning 29 and have not accomplished anything education wise. I was in a junior college doing pre-reqs for nursing when I was 18-19 and dropped out when I landed a full time job making money. I then became a truck driver and was making 55k a year but working tons of hours. I told myself I can no longer be doing it for the rest of my life since I was always working. The job was complete labor and a very lonely job working with noone.
Now is the time for me to get my chit together so Im looking at schools right now. Im currently working part time at some place so I can go to school and make money part time. Can anyone recommend me a good field where the money is at? Obviously not going to pursue nursing since I wont be done till im 33+
Im looking into Surgical tech or x-ray tech.

Was supposed to go out with that co-worker tonight and she was going to bring her husband along since he was home.
Figured it was best to say "Perfect let's reschedule." Not sure how that conversation even happened.

Any travel RNs in here? Have been doing it for almost two years and would 100% recommend it, especially if you're young with no family commitment (kids). It's a really cool gig, great way to see the country, and money can be crazy good for RN salary.

Sup brahs, things are looking good these days. Taking the Nclex-pn on the 21st. Feeling pretty confident while using Uworld as a study tool and rereading all of my school notes. If I pass I already have a job lined up as a home health peds nurse.

crna/srna/future srna brahs, im in a dilemma. i got accepted to a MICU in one of the largest hospital in my state. however, CVICU of the same hospital just opened up and I'm still waiting on an interview. how should i go about this? ask if the MICU manager for a week to decide? or should i just stick with MICU?
MICU doesn't seem like a bad place at all. she told me 3 RNs on that unit got accepted to CRNA school this year, not part of the code team for the hospital bc theres x2-3/code a day on the unit itself, bedside procedures, etc. when i was getting a tour on the unit, i felt a comfortable and friendly vibe.
i talked to several SRNAs and was told CVICU is not guaranteed admission for CRNA school. what really matters is how sick the pt is, how much devices you get to play, and how much you put forth into your learning while on the unit more so than just the unit's name. opinions plz☁ ▅▒░☼‿☼░▒▅ ☁ Snort Creatine Crew ☁ ▅▒░☼‿☼░▒▅ ☁
