Hey guys I have a question i was hoping mayb when of you all could help me with.
I am getting out the military here shortly and finishing my last two years of undergrad. The Uni im attending has a great program in all Pre Professional aspects. Since i was a little child ive always want to be a Physical Therapist, but being in the military and working in a clinical setting around PA's has really started to shift me the PA route. Although in my heart i fell like i still want to pursue PT my only thing im worried about is that im worried that there is glass ceiling that i will quickly reach with PT. I see the pay difference also which is a 30K difference off the break. Does anyone have any experience working alongside or know of friends that are PT and how they enjoy there job and family life( I.E. Wife, children, social life) and is there any upward progression in terms of more advanced schooling / specialties in PT's that would lead to an increase in pay?

I think the PT arena is a little saturated and unless you;re opening a PT facility and taking the big risks, its a doctorate for $35/hr at the most.
If you have an interest in PT, maybr ortho PA? combine the love of how the body moves with something with a better pay potential? Could PA for a while and then go work for Stryker and make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$What's Spicy Training For?? LIFE MOTHER F-ER!

PT is quite saturated these days. PA is a solid career (and being a guy helps), but PA to rep would be a weird move - probably not worth it (in terms of the money you will spend becoming a PA). I know lots of reps, one of the most successful ones was an anesthesia tech with a BA in history.

I must have some weird scent lately, because I've been beating back coworkers with a stick. I've been questioned about 3 separate complaints in the last month about co-workers showing me too much attention and not getting their work done. I think females are writing up flirtatious females who they're mad at
Somehow, even though it's true because I'm not flirting or instigating anything, I am coming through this unscathedAugust 2023:

Whath your back before you're accused of sexual harassment.
Women are the freaking worst.
The **** they say to my BF would get ANY man fired on the spot and riots in ugly ass hats abound. And that includes attendings when he was a resident. So uncomfortable when a woman you're about to do a vaginal exam on makes an inappropriate comment or requests you do her next exam. Freaking disgusting. What's Spicy Training For?? LIFE MOTHER F-ER!

I will have to check it out sometime then. I am dropping so much money this year I think I should stick to 20 dollar wine until I recooperate.
I just put a deposit on an 1800 dollar corgi puppy. I am closing on the home in 2 weeks. I have to drop about 33k of renovations to make it "liveable". I have a wedding on october.(it will be about 12k). MY fiance is starting np school this year. From Houston, now I am in San Diego

I might give in and try Magoosh :/ Yes, that was my plan at least. I was only applying in FL and to the university that I went to, considering I have taken my past three graduate classes there. I was also going to try and shadow one of the professors in the program. I was going to maybe move out of FL after I graduate, but what are the benefits of applying out of state? Also, did you apply out of state?
I have a couple friends in the program who have recommended to go into the program with a $20-30k cushion. Just lmao. Ain't no way in hell I can save that much in such a short amount of time. Max would probably be $10k. Do you know any SRNAs that have paid off school without the help of loans?Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist c/o '21

You should shawdow at least a handful of times.
The issue is that the easiest way to get a job is being hired on at one of the place where you trained. CRNA salaries are just so low in FL. But, the market is pretty good nationally so it might not be an issue. If you go to NEU though, we could hang out in the OR (nh).
I know plenty of CRNAs that came out with zero loans - but the majority have 100-180k. I was married and my wife was working full time, but I still took out loans (got to maintain that lifestyle).CRNA Crew

Yeah, that's the plan. He works at the hospital I work at as well. Also planning to shadow a friend's mom who's a CRNA down south and a couple others who work here. How many times did you shadow and what exactly should I be looking for/asking about during my shadowing?
What I got from your post is that you want me to fly to MA, shadow you a couple times, you write me a recommendation letter for the program you work with, and we both own lakeside houses once I become a CRNA.Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist c/o '21

Yah that's pretty much what I was hinting at, so.......see you next week?
I shadowed 5 or 6 times - try to get some idea of wat they are trying todo (induction sequence, interaction wth the surgical team etc). See if you like environment and see if you like what the CRNA is doing. Shadowing should be fun, don't touch anything blue though (SRS).CRNA Crew

Legit LOL. He got a huge kick out of that. Said you have no idea.....
You have some exciting stuff going on!!!! I want to know home renovation details when you get started. I love that stuff.
Funny I got on tonight and saw your response about the wine. My shipment just came in! I am no fan of expensive wine, especially since I pretty much have 2 glasses every night lately. They will pair more expensive (ish) wines with cheaper to give you a good average/ bottle price. I have a valpolicella thats like $17/btl and some that are 40/btl. When you check them out at Lion SHare, let me know what you think. Plus, Lion Share is a really chill bar. What's Spicy Training For?? LIFE MOTHER F-ER!

My mind is completely blown right now. I was sitting next to the chick I hooked up with at shift huddle. I looked over her shoulder at her texts and saw something about her flying out to record porn. Literally don't know what to think right now.
