Got paged by RN tonight saying she is holding patient's warfarin cause he had an elevated INR. Look at the chart.. he has history of PE and DVT. Current INR = 1.4 "But 1.4 is flagged as high, doctor." Please tell me not all of you are this stupid.

There are a lot of really stupid.... But it goes both ways.

Had a fellow nurse asking me if he should give the AM iron pill because the patient was NPO for a cardiac cath.

I'm like, nobody is going to give a fuq if you give the iron pill or not. You give that shot of lovenox you have in your hand and someones going to be pissed. Seriously, he was going to give it.

That's strange, one of my best friend's is a competitive power lifter and he is an RN as well, he is only like 5'6 though...but, when he wears his Danskos he's like 5'8... did he make it? lol

I mean I've literally only met one other miscer IRL, I couldn't imagine them being female and an RN, it seems like a conflict of interest...the misc is such an unforgiving world

PT admitted for testicular atrophy and is not aware however pt is orientated to reddit and google... yes, he is a confirmed *******, doesn't lift, poor ROM in all extremities- I would say 1/8th squatter at best, I doubt pt hits their macros, pt looks like they may have had potential at one point in time but didn't make it, poverty H/H, pt is on 2LPM o2 nasal cannula and satting in the deep red, red coccyx which was continually negged in the SNF.... etc lol

but I work in the neonatal ICU... All of the men's are soft and bowls of jello. Too much lumpia.

I actually don't do much misc'in. I lift instead. And I have three brothers and no sister's so I think I have thick skin and a dirty sense of humor, so I don't get too offended in these parts
