10 things you are besides a bodybuilder

Every once in a while, I'll catch myself getting a little too caught up in the world of bodybuilding; obsessing over macros, grips, avoiding social food situations on a cut, avoiding social activities that will burn too many calories on a bulk, etc. It is those times when I bust out the "10 things I am besides a bodybuilder" list! It gives me a healthy dose of perspective and honestly, helps me to train and eat BETTER. Here's my list, please share yours

I am a bodybuilder AND..
1. An aspiring alternative healer.
2. A proud and active member of the UUA
3. A Disney movie addict.
4. A childcare provider.
5. A singer.
6. A women's rights advocate.
7. A dedicated Starbucks customer.
8. An ex-smoker who falls off the wagon every few months.

It's so wild that you posted this topic. I've been feeling somewhat defeated the last couple of weeks and just yesterday in a meditation moment I thought to myself you are so much more than just an aspiring powerlifter, be happy about those things that you are. So even though I didn't make a list yesterday here it is today:

I AM:

1 - a beautiful, strong woman who sometimes has a restless soul
2 - the PROUD wife of a veteran
3 - a puppy 'mommy'
4 - an attentive daughter

6 - a great sister
