eBay List Price =/= Sold Price. There's a reason why the ad is still listed and hasn't sold yet. It's a starting point for negotiation a lot of the time. It's like walking into a dealership and paying sticker price for a car, except the mark-up on plates is exceptionally high to see if they'll catch a sucker.

Oh, naw I ain't selling these, I'm trying to build a set. I currently have 2 45lbs, 2 35lbs, 1 10lb, 3 5lbs, 2 2.5lbs. I was just stating a pair of these I saw sold on eBay recently for over 2k. I actually sold all my Vintage Unbranded Ivankos, and Hamptons, and rubber GP/Ivanko/Intek Plates. I'm going for the DD Vintage American Made stuff now, currently have the Jacksons, the "more common" DD Yorks, and Marcy Los Angeles Plates.

The larger Marcy plates seem to be easier to come by than the smaller ones (2.5s, 5s and 10s).
I have 5 x 45s, 3 x 35s and 2 x 25s.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

I did think of selling mine but just did not want to have seller's regret which happened with couple of pairs of York DD's.
Consolidated all my plates .
4 400, lb sets plus can make another 350 lb set. All York . They are my daily drivers except for DL and Rows.. The bumpers are for the boys.

There is always that dilemma with a single plate. Do you keep it and look for a second plate or just get rid of it. I have those Marcy singles (45 and 35) and I have a single BFCO 45. I am afraid that as soon as I get rid of one I will come across another single. Do you have any of the small Marcy plates that you want to get rid of?

This is my Frankentstein Set. York Bar and Collars; Marcy 45s, 35s, and 25s; and Ivanko Unbranded 10s, 5s, and 2.5s (I have 1.25s not pictures).

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I tend to move back and forth between obsessions ever so often. When a new obsession comes along I tend to dive in spending most of my time immersing myself in it. A few years ago I got hooked on the stock market and that obsession kind of took over to the detriment of my workout schedule. I need to start working out again and this forum always kept me interested in working out so I am going to try and strike more of a balance between my time in the stock market and this forum.

I posted a few pages back about my lucky find of a Zuver's plate that was a steal. Well, after searching for nine years, I came across two more. They belonged to a guy who got them from the gym itself and kept them for the decades since. With three plates there might just be a few people who have a bigger collection than I have.
