As far as pricing, the last pair sold on ebay for like $2k+ not too long ago, so yeah they're expensive.
    Would be 44.975.

I'd want to find a set of Paramount's but just too sell. Know someone who once sold a pair for well over double what SIB got for the Jackson's, like winning the lottery finding those...

Um, I found mine in a poor pic online advertising a garage sale, so most people would sell any 45lbs for over double what I paid for mine HAHA

eBay List Price =/= Sold Price. There's a reason why the ad is still listed and hasn't sold yet. It's a starting point for negotiation a lot of the time. It's like walking into a dealership and paying sticker price for a car, except the mark-up on plates is exceptionally high to see if they'll catch a sucker.

If the buyers/sellers are smart this is definitely the case, the listing is just an ad. They likely settle outside of eBay to pay less in fees.

Oh, naw I ain't selling these, I'm trying to build a set. I currently have 2 45lbs, 2 35lbs, 1 10lb, 3 5lbs, 2 2.5lbs. I was just stating a pair of these I saw sold on eBay recently for over 2k. I actually sold all my Vintage Unbranded Ivankos, and Hamptons, and rubber GP/Ivanko/Intek Plates. I'm going for the DD Vintage American Made stuff now, currently have the Jacksons, the "more common" DD Yorks, and Marcy Los Angeles Plates.

I’ve regretted passing on 4 Marcy 45# plates at PIAS a couple of years ago. But they weren’t York, so I didn’t buy them.

Not really. Sold my RML690 and a bunch of other stuff, am currently sitting at 6-8 marcy 45lbs Los Angeles, 6-8 York 45lb DD, and the 2 Jackson 45lbs. I also did pickup a York Split Sleeve, that belongs to the DDs, which I've been looking a while for.

The larger Marcy plates seem to be easier to come by than the smaller ones (2.5s, 5s and 10s).

    I have 5 x 45s, 3 x 35s and 2 x 25s.

I did think of selling mine but just did not want to have seller's regret which happened with couple of pairs of York DD's.

    Consolidated all my plates .

4 400, lb sets plus can make another 350 lb set. All York . They are my daily drivers except for DL and Rows.. The bumpers are for the boys.

There is always that dilemma with a single plate. Do you keep it and look for a second plate or just get rid of it. I have those Marcy singles (45 and 35) and I have a single BFCO 45. I am afraid that as soon as I get rid of one I will come across another single. Do you have any of the small Marcy plates that you want to get rid of?

Yeah, I know this all too well. I have a pair of BFCO 100lb plates that I have been trying to sell on Craigslist for quite a while. I don't really think I have them overpriced, but all I get are lowball offers and "what is the lowest you will take for them?"

I tend to move back and forth between obsessions ever so often. When a new obsession comes along I tend to dive in spending most of my time immersing myself in it. A few years ago I got hooked on the stock market and that obsession kind of took over to the detriment of my workout schedule. I need to start working out again and this forum always kept me interested in working out so I am going to try and strike more of a balance between my time in the stock market and this forum.

I posted a few pages back about my lucky find of a Zuver's plate that was a steal. Well, after searching for nine years, I came across two more. They belonged to a guy who got them from the gym itself and kept them for the decades since. With three plates there might just be a few people who have a bigger collection than I have.
