Yea I don't like that dude totally blasts the market with ridiculous prices and shafted me on Ivanko bars. Also pretends to be a guy getting back into shape and wants to buy equipment. Really pushy also about showing up immediately haha.

Use the 16 for learning the kettlebell swing. If you use a kettlebell that's too light, you'll be inclined to use your shoulders. The 10 might be useful for learning how to do cleans and snatches, though I found that my clean improved too when I used heavier kettlebells.

Won this Hammer Strength Seated Dip at an auction today for roughly the price of a new pair of Nike's.

Thanks, I'm excited. I have only used one once but I did like it. I'm running real low on space so I'm going to have to get creative.

ironmasters
Picked up a set of first generation ironmaster dumbbells 10-80 lbs set, came with the 2.5lb plates too. I think I got a fair price on them at $255 as they pop up in my area about 2-3x a year.
They're in good condition no rust, but the plates and stand do have the usual scuffs/scratches. Was thinking about repainting the plates with black semi-gloss? The stand on the sticker is peeling/ripped, but no biggie.
I find them much more solid than my powerblocks u90s and have no concerns about the plates falling off. The entire bolt is threaded, so it's quite secure. Given the slot design, the plate change is fast enough for my needs. The stand is quite heavy/sturdy too.
The only unfortunate thing is that ironmaster no longer carries the 120lb add on, but that's not a concern for me at the moment.
Overall quite happy with them.

Nice! I've never used the first generation Ironmaster dumbbells, but I've always thought that small weight changes are probably faster with the 1st gen than the current Ironmaster quick-locks.
Since the screws are fully threaded, there should be no problem with painting them. If you had the current generation of Ironmaster dumbbells, I'd be concerned about changing the thickness of the plates by adding a coat of paint. (If you change the thickness too much, they might not lock properly.)▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

If I remember correctly, you can fit 90lbs total safely on those. I know you could with the Hoist ones. I believe Ironmaster still sells plates for that system, but I'm not sure if it would be worth it just to jump 15lb.
I picked up a LifeFitness CSAJB-P bench today, but am nowhere near enough posts to put a pic up.Last edited by Hallowedlunch; 04-30-2014 at 06:32 PM.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

My body is numb with joy haha. Definitely a heck of a workout moving this stuff. I only went there to buy the revolvers and he was like "well I have all this Flex equipment and this 5-100 Ivanko DB set, etc...". Thank god I found that pallet crate on craigslist the day before! The guy I bought them from was a super cool karate instructor and had a class going on and he had all his members carry the plates and dumbbells out for me! He made it part of their training which was awesome. He's actually pretty famous in the Karate and "mind over matter" world: www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5UbGh4MfEA
Sorry done!
I am hanging onto a lot of the revolvers but selling some too since I think I overbought, will be selling my regular green Ivanko plates now.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #58 []---[]
