I remember there was a quite a rage on these forums about this many years back. I think a company called Avant made them. What is your experience and verdict on these creams? For those unaware, basically you apply these creams on your skin after you workout and they are supposed to help burn fat somehow.

From what I've read they are, in fact, marginally effective. Enough so that if you're, say, a contest bodybuilder trying to shred they aren't a complete waste of time. They aren't magically effective, either.

I've heard that hydrochloric acid is pretty effective at burning with topical application.
