I've been gone a while, and it amazes me how much this place has slowed down. I understand the consensus of why and how, but a thing that seems far more prevalent is the amount of red activity... Maybe this has already been kicked around, or just commented on in individual threads, but has anything actually been proposed about this?

MANY of legit forums have certain requirements, like:

Users with less than 50 posts cannot start a thread (completely logical, and shows that they are invested in the community)

Users with a negative reputation cannot start a thread (see above... If so far in red, how are they invested in the community and how can they properly start useful threads?)

Users with too severe of a negative reputation are prohibited from posting for a certain time (sure like being banned, but also an automated feature, and might make long standing trolls be more mindful)



Look, I get it that many folks create multi's for trolling purposes, and sometimes they actually bring lulz, but this Join Date: CURRENT MONTH chit is just that... chit. Reds creating new and somehow more worthless threads is more abundant than ever.

EDIT: A big start to our success is to ignore the reds/trolls. Do not engage, let them try to out red each other and they will wear themselves out and leave. To help, add people to your ignore list by

You nostalgic *******s never learn, reaching out to misc with all this positivity horsesht isn't gonna work. It's not the community brahs it's the mods, always has been. You can blame the rotters all you want but they're only a product of the degrading environment. This is why reaching out to misc is futile, misc had legendary times back then because it was more free, simple as that. Why do you think all the GOAT threads get deleted?

Misc is kinda just a reflection of real life. As the cuckening slowly engulfs society, the misc comes along with it. Nothing that can be done really. Just sit back and let the memories fade.

I wasn't implying that mods made the rules. I understand that you are just here to enforce the rules you were given. I just wanted to know if you had any insight as to way the owners/admins want the misc moderated the way that it is. It has obviously caused some of the more interesting posters to leave or be banned which has left a vacuum with nothing but the chit posts that you referenced remaining.

I assume because it's a business and threads that discuss illicit or distasteful topics are bad for the brands reputation.

I haven't read all 17+ pages, but I read enough to get an overall impression.

I've been a "casual" miscer for 9+ years, and lurking all the way back to the days of the unmentionable sections.

Detectives were the start of the fall.

Next came the censorship.

The banning of fun stuff like MS paint threads. I got a ban for a stick figure using his penor as a helicopter to get a kitten out of a tree. This is when I stopped enjoying the misc, and decided to no longer make purchases on this site.

Once this place wasn't fun anymore, the negativity was simply the death blow.
