fordømt ... for alltid. tenker på det. prøve å forestille slutten av evigheten. lukk øynene. Lukk øynene og prøv å forestille seg. for alltid. smerte. for alltid.

Supposedly one of the reasons Zygmunt left Poland was because of the stupid attempts that Dolega wanted to make at the 2008 Olympics; I think Zygmunt wanted to make smaller jumps and in the end Dolega missed what he would have needed to have gotten a bronze. Not sure if Dolega called the shots on his attempts this time but it's possible that he had some sort of say in what he would open with. Quite a shame that he never medalled.

Ilin could have entered the 105s, hah.
It would have been impossible to top the 85s performance from the last Olympics, but it was still disappointing to see Rybakou and Lu Wong past their prime.637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.
600/370/600 - best competition lifts.
575/330/560 - best competition lifts at 181 raw.

Randall Strossen @ironmind
Klokov was positive, a Russian colleague just told me - exactly what everyone suspected - and he said that Akkaev really was injured.*Mods/CS will not, nor can they change your username, so don't ask*

The Russians do their own internal testing. Klokov wasn't caught. They can't afford that to happen.
Between Akkaev getting inured, Klokov not cycling off properly, Lapikov getting banned, Tsarukaeva getting injured, Slivenko pulling out, Rigert will probably get fired. Russia has no golds at the moment, and probably won't have even one if Salimi has anything to say about it.

Yeah, Torokhity did great. Dat power jerk...I think I was a little harsh because Ilya Ilin totalled 6 kg more than anyone in the 105s while weighing 94. What I forgot was that Ilya Ilin is a total freak who is stronger than the vast majority of superheavy lifters, and one of the most accomplished lifters in history, so this comparison is profoundly unfair.
