Im better now, but I have sleep apnea due to tonsils and a deviated septum. It gets real bad if my bodyfat is high. Had a seizure from it twice before they believed it was respiratory and not neurological. Other than that, its been a dislocated shoulder quite a few times, a pec strain, and a rib injury. Been training smarter and avoiding major injuries. Been able to train consistent for a couple years now.

Yea, I wasn't able to press after initially tearing the labrum for 6 months. Ortho specialist said I would never be able to bench or OHP again. I could not accept that answer, so I began to do my own shoulder rehab that I do every training day (4 times a week). I'm thankful that my shoulder has been holding up since.

Sorry to hear bro, heal up and take thing slowly. Health is more important.

Thanks brotha. Doing a lot of rotator cuff workouts, so it has strengthened it, but gotta really feel out the lifts now. Forgot I almost lost my left leg a few years back before the O, but that was a spider bite that I made worse lol that one was totally my fault.

I guess I should be glad I've only been lifting a few years. The only injuries I've had are rotator cuff issues in both shoulders and I messed up my back once while squatting. Being older also means I have to be careful in my lifting since I can't recover as quickly.

Train one side...nothing wrong with ending up looking like a fiddler crab. But I hear ya...last winter I didnt' train much cause I kept getting tendonitis in the elbow area. And I had the lower back problem.

Make sure you adjust you're eating from what you ate when you did workout cause you don't want to gain fat during your downtime. I did that last winter.

Too late bro. I been dreamer bulking since then. Just had buffet last night too. Going to clean it up a bit starting today.

i've had surgery on both shoulders for labram tears. more recent one was in february 8 months ago.

took 2 months off just focusing on legs and cardio, wasn't terrible but i definitely missed lifting.

deload week for me till monday, feelsbadman.
hate lifting lighter than usual but my shoulder has been tweaking again so definitely need to do it.

I've been doing lighter weights, controlled reps and higher volumes and it seems to do the trick for me. Read it on an article that switch up is good once in awhile to trigger new muscle growth...I'm noticing more DOMS lately too.
