my ex was in a rollover in her volvo 940 the glass didn't even break
and if she hadn't hit a cement guardrail going 80mph and messed up the front end she could have drove off with minor damage .. she was able to get out and walk 1/2 mile to the gas station not a scratch
cops and by standers could not believe their eyes

I jumped a culvert in mine dodging a damn deer. Went upside down on the roof. Only window broken was my sunroof. The front end was messed up from impact and the side airbags came out but not the front ones. I did not have a bruise or scratch on me. Crawled out of my back hatch. My luggage rack did not even break. Very impressed with the amount of abuse it took. Although it was a total loss

    People who can't pronounce names.

"How do I say your surname?"

It's phonetic, motherfker, there is literally NO trick pronounciation, just because it starts with "Al" you don't need to be like "zomg scary ethnic name must not say unless sure of how to say it".

And then one of my clients.

    "This is Mrs Juboyce"

"Um, can you spell that for me?"

    "D-U-B-O-I-S.."

    ...
*facepalm* don't even know what to say to people who cant pronounce their own names smh.

Your mean like Mr. Dumb@$$ = Du-maus? I have encountered weird pronounced/spelled names. If I am unsure I ask to be polite because I figure that is better than to consistantly f*ck it up.

Here in America I have often given Smith as my last name because I couldn't be bothered to go through the whole pain of "how do you spell it". So when I went for my citizenship interview and they asked me if I was known by any other name, I did ask myself "does Smith count?"

At least you have a scary ethnic name.

Both my maiden name and my married name are common words in the English language - ON TOP of being entirely phonetic. People don't mess up the pronunciation but they can't spell either.

My favorite are the people who ask if there is an 'e' on the end after I've given my last name and then said "No e on the end."

People can't even spell my first name.

Last week someone spelled it Rubeeca.

    Really?

    REALLY?!?!?!

Dumaus can be hard though. My name is completely phonetic like the word "alfalfa". you just have to spell it out. Literally no screwinig it up but people just don't try lol.

    lulz.

One of the girls in our office is named Amberley. We work with a lot of mentally incapable clients- some are very intelligent, just screwy.

"Hello, I called before and Anthony told me I have to speak to Amberley. Now I don't know why he's given me what is clearly a fictitious name, but please humour me and let me speak to this so-called Amberley"

that was the first time she rang. The second time:

"Hi, Can I speak to the girl with the fake name?"

I have rolled the Volvo & an Expedition. No injuries other than a cut on my nose which required stitches from the airbag in the Expedition! 2 vehicles which will stand up in an accident. Rolled the Expedition 3 times I am a crash test dummy on the side !

Got lost called my bro with barely a signal on my phone trying to figure out where I was. Went the wrong way. Was coming up on a stop sign and it was raining. As I went to hit the brakes my cat jumped on console then between my feet. Jammed brakes at stop sign & began sliding. Turned wheel left & slammed into trees with backend of my truck, and barrel rolled it 3 times. Sat in that field for an hour & no one could see me. Old road not much traffic. Finally someone saw my lights & sent ambulance. Went to hospital got stitched up & went home. Went back next day & saw a wreath on a tree across from stop sign I slid through. 5 year old boy killed there the weekend before. Luckily I turned my wheel that night or I would have hit those trees head on. And yes, I was drinking when I wrecked. Not a good night! Lesson learned when I saw that wreath.

My cat was missing for 2 days & I had left my number for people to call if he showed up. They called 2 days later & I went & got him. He sat in the truck with me that night until the ambulance showed up & he ran off.
