Real nice find saw it yesterday too. Not a bad. price at all it does have the rod safeties which are not ideal. Should sell for close to what he is asking I would think.

    Probably its reserved for someone.

If you want the rack bad enough, just email him and say I will give you 1200 cash, pick it up on Friday whenever you want and take it apart with my own tools and load myself you wont have to do anything. Basically just outbid the other guy and get there first with the cash.

Hard to find a good leg press up here for any decent price, it's $1299 on sale at treadmill factory plus tax of course. So you could offer $700 and get it for less than half price.

That elitefts rack sold for 1400, I was talking to the owner and he kept trying to raise the price, seemed like a good guy just trying to recoup the most he could. If you guys are serious about importing an elitefts setup I may be interested, let me know. I am north of Toronto. Timeframe is flexible, accutron and vmango are the guys that this is directed too. Let me know.

I am serious. I also found a GTA contact that can build a R3, R4 replica or other custom racks. Will match US pricing.

shoot me a PM if you wanna chat. Accutron and I have been talking over email for a few weeks.

Will do the elitefts racks are probably the top racks around i would be interested in a collegiate rack with options and probably a bench. Price will be insane but it will last a lifetime so per year cost is not too bad i would think. Will do i have a DZ license so i can drive anything but a semi.

    thanks for the reply.

Yep, haahha, I contacted the guy too. He told me it was now auction style and price was 1600.

Id have to take a day off work, drive 5hrs each way, rent a truck, and spend 1600...Hmmm. LOL. Plus the guy would probably auction it off for 1650 before I get there, hahah.

Thanks to VMANGO Im going with that custom guy in Toronto. He sounds really helpful and legit and wrote me some long emails, so I plan to get him to make me something.

I think I will get the most basic 2x2 30" depth west-side spacing, rod-and pipe, and most basic pull-up bar. Im hoping to keep price down to 800 or 900.

The Rogue he showed me was 30" but bolted, and I dont really want anything bolted, and I dont need 2x3 tube.

I was going to order the Legend 2x2 it was only 1,000 and included plate storage, but rep said I had to get my own freight forwarded to fill out my paper-work LOL. I dont know how to do that.

Thanks to Vmango for the intro to that guy, and thanks to LostSpacer for the follow-up. I could order from EFTS but I dont know about customs or other expenses, or what I would do if the rack had any problems...at least with the Toronto guy he is near to me.

Vmango as far as I know Forbidden bought his TPB from GarageIron the same time as me, and I think he just wants to sell because he has some other bars.

I paid 400 for my TPB new so if you can get a like-new one for 275 that would be a really great deal.

Dude, you should have told me you were going to go with the "Toronto hookup."

I'd love to hear what you're working on. FWIW, as far as our discussions, his "R3" is 30in and welded...at least he told me he'd weld it for me. I am waiting for some pics of some he was having made. Did he send any your way recently?

Lostspacer, I can forward you the contact information, too.

For me he would do a R3 clone but 30in and welded, and let me do a custom color (red) and he'd match the Rogue price. Plus his R3 comes with the nice beefy safety spotters that the Rogue does not. I'll probably add an extra set of J-hooks and a monkey bar.

Looking to find a better deal but doesn't seem like I can - plus I can pick it up myself. Will pull the trigger before Christmas.

I believe it sold for 1400 he said he had a solid offer for 1400 told me I could have it for 1500. Funny that he offered it to you for 1650 but there could have been multiple bids. It was still up on kijiji last I looked so not 100% sure it's gone but it must be by now.. I would have taken it for 12ish but for me it was an 8 hr round trip plus about 150 in gas, plus that rack will not come apart like the collegiate will, side middle piece disconnects on the collegiate. Make it easier to load unload and move into basements etc..

Hahaha, Im not completely sure yet, I just sent him an email to introduce myself and said I was referred by you and am thinking about it.

Pics were probably the same pics he sent to you. He told me he is moving shops and should have a nice show-room in November. He even offered to do a video skype with me to show me the racks if I could not visit in person, which was pretty friendly and good service.

But Im not sure when I will order. Not to get too personal here, but I pay cash for all my stuff and just had a big car bill, along with I had to buy a new furnace. I could have gotten a new stainless EFTS rack for the price of my furnace. So I try not to think about that too much LOL.

And before I order a 2x2 replica I need to find someone who owns an EFTS so I can get 100% exact measurements for the number of holes, where the first hole starts, where the close space stands and ends, just so I can verify some little details.

For j-hooks I might order them separately from someone else in the States because I know exactly what I want. Its a lot of planning...

Yeah I just don't like the bar as much as my other bars and I could use the money.

Who's this guy in Toronto that builds gear?

Actually in Sudbury, I grew up in Ottawa though.. not sure about a custom job there would be little resale I am thinking but if its built right why would u ever need to resell it. Are you actually going to see something else he has built before you go that route? The elitefts build your own rack is nice too but after all the options that the collegiate has your paying close to it.. Not sure what i want but i get nailed all the time with broker fees and crap.

I also purchased a TPB from garage iron, really like it so far, only used it a few times as i work out at work 4 days a week, need to get my workouts in at home more often..

He was called XTC fitness but he is reopening an actual store next month....not sure if the name is changing or what. He will have pics of his new racks next week and then I'm going to drive down to check them out in person before I pull the trigger. Like Accutron, I'm picky, so before I blow [more or less] a grand on a rack I want to make sure it's EXACTLY what I want.

I will keep you guys posted if you'd like.

I thought it might be that guy, I've seen his stuff online and it looks really really nice. I really like his Dog Sled actually, like a Prowler and Dog Sled combined.

Is he making it? or is he having Power Body is Mississauga make it? I thought he had all of his "build a rack" stuff done by them.

Power body makes some good commercial machines and they do make custom power racks. It may not be made by them and maybe they have new fabricator doing the work. But, I'm curious why you would have an R3 knock off made vs. just buying the real thing?

I got my R3 this week and really like it. In hindsight I would have preferred to have had a custom rack done by Edge. But what is done is done.

Let's say you buy a painted R3 from XTC and they match the $833 price of the powdercoated Rogue. They will charge you HST ($941). If you buy it from Rogue and have it shipped, $833+$175 Shipping ($1008) and no tax. $67 difference.

If you want a custom rack, do yourself a favour and call Rick at Edge. Take the 5 hour drive and pick it up yourself. If your really want the R3/R4 he can make you one that may be better than the original. there is an R3 replica on his site with a weight storage option.

I hear you but his X1 starts at 799. Plus includes free color options which Rogue does not offer. Otherwise, it seems like exactly the same rack. If it is not, I will obviously just end up going through Rogue or whatever if his rack does not impress.

I can get a fully welded 30incher from this guy and I cannot from Rogue. That's the big one for me.

But like I said, I'll check it out. I have nothing to lose as I know I can go with Rogue if I'm not impressed or it's any more difficult.

Looking at the diagram, the X1 has a rear stabilizer. How are you going to use the rear uprights to squat with that cross bar at your feet? It doesn't look the same to me.

I dont want to speak for Vmango here, but...

I really do like the Rogue R3, it doesnt have what I 100% need:
    1- Glossy red powdercoat
2- 30" inside welded. (People say 24" is fine, but I find it too tight for me personally.)

So if I could get a replica it would have these two things.

For the 2x2 EFTS Id like to order from the States but Im just worried after unknown fees. No one can tell me a landed price all in delivered to my door.

It shouldnt be too difficult to build a 2x2...if I get the details right.

I wish Rogue Canada would sell EFTS stuff...

    Enjoy the R3 rack!!!!

FYI, by coincidence I was talking to Rick a few days ago and Edge is releasing a 2x2 customizable rack next week which I believe starts at $499.

The R3 doesn't have exactly what I want either, It's nice. I just wrote a review of it on the CrossFit boards.
