Powertec Power Rack Set Bundle $700 obo (Toronto)

The powertec is a really good deal, to anyone who missed the $600 powertec deal in Dundas, this can definitely make up for it.

It's unreal the amount of people selling all the "Ab doers" "Ab Loungers" "Ab circles" ect. Must be a lot of people with perfect abs out there that don't need them anymore!

I should really make one ab gimmick to sell on TV to millions of people and then retire...

I saw that ad posted for several months now. Price wasn't bad, but I would have offered him $10 since it was on kijiji for so long and no one seemed interested.

I saw a crazy deal a few days ago. For $400 they offered a hacksquat/leg press, preacher curl station, adjustable bench, and a home gym. The brand was body solid and yukon. I would have been all over this if it weren't for the fact that were located out in kawartha lakes north of peterborough and I would have had to make multiple trips to pick everything up.

The ad isn't up anymore so I can't quite see the rack but it doesn't sound like much of a deal. I think you can pretty much get both new for around $600 or a tad more.

Did the powertec rack come with the lat attachment? If not, I wouldn't pay more than $250 for it considering that you can get a new one for $500. Those northern lights benches shouldn't cost you more than $100.

Thanks for the info! You're right the ad isn't up anymore but I did find this just now: http://montreal.kijiji.ca/c-acheter-...AdIdZ403824642

NORTHERN LIGHTS POWER RACK FULL CAGE
NORTHERN LIGHTS FLAT INCLINE / DECLINE BENCH
    300 LBS OLYMPIC WEIGHT SET
    45 LBS OLYMPIC BAR
BODY SOLID OLYMPIC WEIGHT PLATE TREE

    For 900$.

Correct me if am wrong but this seems to cover everything a beginner really needs... I don't know if its a good deal or not or if I should wait because the equipement is overvalued or not safe or anything around those lines. Maybe with a few hundred dollars more in my initial investment I can get something that will serve me better? Any ways like i said all the help in really appriciated!

    Thanks!

Not really a deal of any sort, especially not for a beginner who hasn't made the life long commitment to lift. For 95% of beginners this will be a handy spot to hang clothes off of. I assume this is exactly the reason they're selling.
You sound pretty inexperienced no offense, but I would suggest an FID bench and adjustable dumbbells to start, and once you've got a bit of an education in lifting and diet and have built up functional strength, then jump in and spend some serious cash on a home gym. I'm still working with just my Ironmasters to 120 lbs and an FID bench myself and I firmly believe it's the best possible starting point to hit all muscle groups.

I just went to an online retailer in Canada (Treadmill Factory) and priced out these items:
    Powertec Power Rack = $499
    Body Solid Bench = $239
Olympic Weight Set with Bar = $217
    Weight Storage Tree = $70

That's $1025 (plus tax) for NEW items. If you see a listing with these types of items for less than $700 then it might be worth your money. Otherwise, you might as well pay a little more for reputable brands and for equipment that you know has not been misused or abused.

Picking up a Power Rack with lat attachment, 275lbs of plates, and an Olympic bar and collars for $350 tonight.

Olympic bar is CAP crap and I don't need the lat attachment (have separate machine already) but they're selling as a package only so it'll do. Good to have if I upgrade to a monster rack in the future and need to flip the rack.

Will have to sell my half rack if I can't incorporate it into my space as its own section.

Its my day off today but I might do legs just because I'm so excited!
