Nov 14-20: Nutrition was pretty good overall I did have 3 scoops of ice cream Saturday and a couple mini croissants with Nutella I did my Thanksgiving shopping so it was all in the house. Workouts were good.

Weigh in: 213.8 lbs drop of 2.2 lbs

Goal for next week is to remain the same or keep gains at a minimum however I plan to take a break from tonight Through Sunday in regards to exercise and diet as I have plans and didn't hold back last time I cut over the holiday and I think i remained the same weight last time I did this while eating anything I wanted over the holiday weekend.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and I will be back into routine Monday.

Nov 21-Nov 28: Nutrition from Wednesday to Sunday was horrendous but was a planned break and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Mon on I'm back in the routine. Weigh in today 217.6 lbs my first gain since I started in late February. Hope to be back to what I was on the 21st by next week.

I am still kicking. I kind of stopped posting and had a lul between Thanksgiving until just after the New Year I chose to look at things positively. I enjoyed myself during the holidays and went out to some events and participated. I still ended up losing some weight not nearly as fast as I had been but just over 15 pounds during 3 months with about half being maybe 50% in the swing of things. I am back focused have been working out in the AM again started doing so last week and plan to push hard these next 3 months and will try to post at least weekly in here and maybe more often. I am coming up on the 1 year anniversary of starting working out and getting back in shape. 2/26/2012 was when I started so are down 112.8 lbs I'm curious where I will be a year from now I think I should be in pretty good shape.

Weekly update. 202.8 lbs not bad considering the amount of crap I had Sunday for the Superbowl. I should hit the sub 200 lb mark in a week or 2 most likely closer to 2 weeks. I can't wait it will be another goal achieved. I am finally in the fun stages of weight loss or at least I think it is where I will really notice the month to month progress. I am still not 100% decided when I will stop my cut I will see where I am come the end of March and go from there I started off thinking 180 lbs but am leaning dropping down to 165-170 to try and get as lean as possible and then depending when this happens would either maintain or bulk. My realistic final goal is somewhere around 190 and 12% BF.

    Weekly update time:

This week was good overall busy at work. Hung out with a buddy and had a date and was good through it all.

Weekly weigh in was 196.8 lbs so a drop of 1 lb. I was hoping for more like 1.5 lbs but after 2 weeks of over 2lbs and reducing my cardio and eating at maintenance on Saturday by design I am pleased with a loss.

I am hoping to be close to 190-192 by my final weigh in of March it will be tough as on March 10th I am taking my Brother (Turning 21) and parents to a new Casino here to eat at the buffet.

Seems I forgot to update last week my weigh in was 197.8 lbs on 2/22/2013.

I didn't even realize but on 2/26/2013 it was a year since I decided and did my first grocery with the intentions of losing weight and a week later I had a gym membership and about died doing 8 mins on the elliptical at a medium pace.

Fast forward and I have lost 120.2 lbs I can kill the elliptical and am in worlds better shape than I was. I won't say it was always easy and I had my fair share of slip ups planned and unplanned but if you remain consistent over the long term almost anything is possible as long as you have realistic expectations on the time it will take. Remember any of you that are currently dropping weight like I still am you didn't get overweight or obese overnight so it's unreasonable to expect to change over night.

I look forward to the next year and seeing where I am this time next year.

Hey bro, just checking in. I haven't read through your whole log, just skimmed. I'm gonna catch up on it and give it a proper read when I get a chance.

Just want to say that you're doing F*CKING AMAZING. ~90 lost in ~10 months is phenomenal. I'm sure you feel 10x better than you did when you started this journey. Glad to see you're doing this the right way and not looking for shortcuts.

    Truly an inspiration.

BTW, got any before/after pictures? The difference in appearance from your former self should be tremendous. Always curious to see these transformations.

Keep it up man, you're almost at your goal!

Thanks for the support. I didn't really take great before or even now pictures besides occasional head shots.

Here are some before and after headshots to give perspective.

To give an idea I went from wearing 44 pants and they were snug to 34 being loose I can wear 33 fine now and am almost back into my 32's that kept from long ago I can force the button done but it's just a little too tight give it another month and I should be in them fine.

I have a few before body shots just need to find someone to take a current body shot for comparison.

I am getting there I plan to cut down to 170 and then maintain and switch into a slow bulk just depends when I hit these number that will determine how long I maintain etc.

As of today since February 26 2012 I have dropped 124.4 LBS and 11 pant sizes. I am not where I want to be and will likely end up with some loose skin but I feel and look 100 times better than I did and I'm not just talking physically but mentally I am in a better place more confident (still need to work on this) but just more positive about things in my life.

The change in your face is crazy dude. Keep on trucking, you're almost at the finish line.

In regards to loose skin- nothing you can do except keep on pushing forward; it'll get better over time. No homo, you are a good looking dude. Once you're really trim and add some muscle, you should be able to get tons of girls.

Thanks man. I see lots of threads where people get all worried about loose skin and sure would I love to not have it but I also feel some use it as an excuse of where since I won't have the perfect body in the world I'm just going to not even bother. That's the plan get trim then add a solid 20+ lbs of muscle and go from there.

Awesome way to look at it. I've seen a bunch of people with loose skin who stuck to it and did what you're talking about and they look great. As a great coach of mine used to say: "The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement."

Matter of fact, now that I reminded myself, that gem is going into the sig

    Weekly update time:

Weight 189.8 lbs so a new decade but also a bigger than expected drop of 2.8 lbs. I have a NCAA outing tomorrow at a local bar and grill so will be eating more than usual and have no plans to hold back or not enjoy myself it's my Birthday Monday as well but once I see where I'm at after that outing I will likely bump my calories up sometime next week by a few hundred as I am at that point where I would be fine losing .5-1.5 pounds a week.

Well back to work hope everyone had a good week.

    Weekly update time:

Weight 188.4 lbs I am happy with the progress since I had my outing Saturday which I thoroughly enjoyed. Plus had a few extra calories (still a deficit) Monday co workers brought a few things in for my Birthday although they were relatively good items. Starting today I have bumped my calories up a bit as I feel at this weight my deficit was too large so I am going to try to lose .5 to 1.5 lbs a week going forward with the deficit I had I was losing 2-2.5 on weeks without cheats. I will be curious to see how next week's weigh in and energy levels during workouts will be.

Have a good week and Easter I won't be cheating no big gathering for me this year my Mom flies to Montreal that morning, I am dropping my kids off at their moms that morning and my brother is in College so it will be a chill day overall. I'll get a good workout in and solid nutrition and if all goes as planned kick off my week rested and with the first episode of Game of Thrones S3. (My favorite of the books)

    Weekly update time:

Weight came in at 186.6 lbs for a loss of 1.8 lbs. I started eat increased calories this week 1900 every day and either hit it or went over by 10 to 15 so I am pleased with the loss after eating more. I didn't expect to lose almost 2 pounds. I will keep at it for two more weeks and may bump calories up again if I am losing more than 1.4 lbs a week. The extra calories were noticeable in the gym I was able to push a little harder and wasn't as tired by the end.

I have signed up to go on a 5k walk April 20th with a friend who isn't quite ready to try running it. I plan to also sign up for one on June 29th where we will run it.

    Have a good Friday all!

I added a before and after. The after was earlier this week. The before was 10/23/2011.

Thanks man! I feel like I am finally at a good place and have been for a little now and am just enjoying the process and amazingly enough the side effects of more confidence is improving the social life. Coincidence I think not lol.

Weigh in 184.0 lbs loss of 2.6

Things are going great really busy at work but that hasn't stopped my eating to plan or working out. I have a 5K tomorrow that I'm excited for and absolutely love eating the extra food as I am feeling the benefit of more energy during my workouts. I was happy to see after a week with no progress the scale moved again and by more than I expected but if I average it out over 2 weeks it's within the range I was aiming for. I will continue to monitor and may decide to bump things up to 2100 calories. Overall things are going good and warm weather is almost here I'm so ready as I want to get out and enjoy life more versus watching it go buy on a High def screen. I plan to start practicing to actually run my 5K that I intend to sign up for at the end of June.

    Have a good one all!

Weigh in 184.0 lbs for a change of 0.

Overall a solid week workouts are getting better each time with the extra food I am able to push harder each week and love that and am starting to get at a point where I am not as focused on the scale but more the look in the mirror I still have a lot of work to do but am happy with the progress I have made over the past 14 months (to the day) In that time I have dropped 133 lbs went from a tight size 44 pants and tight xxl shirts to size 33x32 pants that are a little loose and size medium shirts for the most part. I was unable to do a single push up when I started and now can do as many as 20 in a row if I push hard. I am able to pull up my body weight at least once the list goes on and on these may not be impressive feats but for someone who previously couldn't do them it's like gaining a new ability.

For anyone that is trying to lose weight all I can say is make it a priority and you can do it all it takes is time and consistency the benefits are more than just what you see in the mirror it's all the limits you used to put on yourself I can't do that I may hurt myself I can't do this I'm too big or too embarrassed. The ability to do something you never have at 31 is an incredible feeling and I know this is just the start as I will continue to push myself through my transformation and set new goals to try an achieve.

Anyways I need to get back to work have a good one.

Weekly update time weigh in's are Wednesday now and I am part of a new May 1st to Aug 1st thread.

Weigh in was 183.4 lbs so a small loss I will continue at my 1950 calories and see how the weigh in is next week if I don't have a drop it'll be nearly 3 weeks with only .6 lbs drop I decide what to do I will likely have to drop cals or increase cardio I generally prefer the drop cals route but we'll see. I have seen the scale get as low as 182.4 so am hopeful that I will see a change I am not really stressing about it but prefer to be progressing one direction or another as I am not where I want to be as far as a final goal. The final goal isn't just a weight but a bf% and I need to lean out more guessing 170 lbs before I will be ok with bulking. Beyond that I had an excellent week went on a couple dates drank a little Alcohol last Sunday and went to a Royals game Tuesday night it was perfect weather.

    Have a good one.

Well with the new thread I am a part of weigh in days have moved to Wednesday so weekly update time.

Weight today was 185.4 lbs for a gain of 2lbs from last Wednesday.

I am a little confused by this but am thinking it's water weight I was at or slightly under my calories each day but I did have some beer on Saturday night (2 12 oz bud's) while still staying at my goal. I plan to wait until Friday to decide if it's time to change things a little reduce calories by around 250 a day or maybe add some cardio on off days. Currently I do weights 3 times and 1 40minute cardio only day so thinking of maybe doing 2 cardio only days and I also do like 10 minutes post weight workouts maybe bump that up to 20 so that would add like 70 minutes in a week that combined with the 200-250 calories drop should get things moving again I think I just in the final stages of the cut so need be right on. I'll likely start with doing one of the changes and then see if that gets things progressing again and if not add the other.

I'll post in here when I decide what changes to make. I am enjoying eating my 1950 calories and also enjoy the flexibility it gives in meal planning while still hitting my protein and fats so I will likely go with adding the cardio first if I don't see a change in the next couple days.
