Heavy Lifting + Lots of eating

I hear that people have dirty bulks. But they are still lifting nonetheless. They would technically be bigger then those who don't dirty bulk because they are building muscle plus fat. Is this wrong? if you dirty bulk do you not make as much muscle? does the fat over ride the muscle process?

More food doesn't equate to more muscle forever, even if you're lifting. At a certain point you'll have reached maximum muscle growth and any excess beyond that will be fat.

but being afraid of gaining some fat will hinder your progress especially if you are in the early stages of the game where your body is capable of packing on 2 lbs of muscle a month. therefore doing a 'clean' bulk and putting on very little weight might equate to only packing on 1 lb of muscle a month as oppose to the possibility of 2lb/month
here to read, learn, & grow.

if it fits you mentally - then do iifym

I can tell that by even asking this question, the answer I would give is something like:

Just eat and lift (with a possible mindset of staying away from traditional processed foods). Keep track of what your eating, and if you notice your gut getting a tad chubby, eat a little less. Regardless of the type of food your eating, if you can hit your macros, you'll put on muscle.

My only advice at your stage is to keep it simple. Lift heavy, eat big, build muscle. Then when you're ready, eat less while lifting heavy as possible to lose fat.
It's easier to build muscle and gain fat at a surplus. That isn't to say stuff yourself everyday all day though.
If everyone knew exactly how much food to eat to build muscle without gaining any fact, there would be no need for many Internet BB forums.

I don't understand why people are infatuated with lifting "heavy" on this forum. This is a bodybuilding forum, not a power lifting forum. You don't have to lift "heavy" to build muscle. Maybe it's an ego thing.
