Awesome squats there / looked hella painful. Have to ask though, what is with the ball cap? I think we were busting on Inna in his log for deadlifting in jeans

As for camera - do they have a desk person in the room you can ask to video your sets? That's what I do many time - of course if you aren't allowed to record and are trying to keep it on the DL I understand.

Yeah haha the slow positive is hard as hell!!! Honestly whenever i run up to the bar I tend to rip my hat from the back to whichever side or front because if its backwards the cap pushing up off my traps once in the low bar position...just one of the many stupid things i do like stomping up towards the bar haha!!!

Yeah...apparently its frowned upon...so I'm trying to find a way around it ya know

30 Plates!!! Hahahahahahahaha...c'mon you rookies. Step ya game up!!!

I do have a question about your "neutral spine" squats.

How do you keep a neutral spine with changes in head angle? I just asked near the same question in Bnizzle's log.

What is the benefit, or perceived benefit, from the head position change?

To be quite honest, for the longest time I couldnt hit depth comfortably, kept trying and trying and realized I wasn't truly sitting back into the squat and pressing thru my heel/mid foot. By me lowering my gaze I was actually able to simulate "sitting" back easier and allowed me to do so much more comfortably and helped set off mental triggers for me to engage the proper muscles. As I hit depth, by angling my gaze up I am forcing my body to raise thru the same mental cues...

Honestly it really is just what works best from person to person and by me doing it this way, I am able to fire the proper muscles at the proper times. Quote below brotha!

"When you look up, the action of assuming the looking-up position pulls the knees forward a little, closing up the knee angle and therefore slacking the hamstrings from the distal end. If the hamstrings shorten distally, they are less able to extend the hips proximally because the tension developed against their proximal attachments on the pelvis is diminished. You can demonstrate this to yourself by standing normally, looking straight forward, and then looking up at the ceiling, paying attention to what naturally happens to your knees when you do this. So, in addition to providing a useful position reference against the floor, looking down makes hip drive dramatically more effective when you squat. I am much less concerned with "butt wink" than some people, having realized long ago that some small amount of lumbar movement is inevitable, and not a concern unless it is quite egregious." - Mark Rippetoe

LMAO!!!! Forreal cardio problems haha. Gotta say, those HEAVY close stance quad sweep partials have done WONDERS for my quad sweeps! Easily one of my top exercises for sweep development IMHO...as long as you have the MMC for it, its money!!!

Dosage: 2 scoops in 11 oz cold water
    Form: Shake
    Taste: 12/10
    Mixability: 10/10
Effectiveness: 9/10 - You can easily tell a good product that promotes the "pump" effect VS a bad pump product when you work in the lower rep range like my ME days. Often on these days, pump is easily less than my other days simply because the sets are lower reps but EVEN today my pump was going stronger than usual on my previous ME days!!!! Only downfall was that today was the first day I notice less of the "energetic" effect that I've become accustomed to. Still great!!!

We all love the 430am texts (unless it's an off day )

in terms of how the head position can alter a lift, even the slightest alteration in form can shift the weight and emphasize different motor patterns...

LOVING the negatives on bench! Honestly makes the lift actually feel better for me as I tend to have the problem of wanting to bounce off my chest so this allows me to control the weight better and press with the proper muscles! Thanks a lot! Yeah haha! LOVE AM TXTS!
