Does Optimum Nutrition Creatine still contain Creapure?

    Hello!

Does Optimum Nutrition Creatine Powder still contain CreaPure? I'm asking because I recently bought the ON creatine powder and when I saw it I couldn't see CreaPure mentioned anywhere on its label. Usually it's written next to the dosage and at other places within the label but there is nothing related to CreaPure as far as I can see on my creatine's label. Where usually it's written "CreaPure™ Creatine Supplement" on my package it's written "Creatine Monohydrate Supplement". Please checkout the picture I have taken and let me know if you have experienced this package and why there is no CreaPure mentioned? Here is the picutre - img406.imageshack.us/img406/9996/80224209.jpg please copy/paste it in your browser because I have not enough posts to post it as a link.

    Thanks!

If you look here ---> http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/crea.html
The descriptions says: "Each serving supplies a full 5 grams (5000 mg) of 99.9% pure Creapure(tm) brand Creatine Monohydrate."
    and
    "Made with CreaPure Creatine"

Yes, I can see that there. The case is that it's not written anywhere on my creatine as it appears to be written usually on the creatine of this type ^ ^

It DOES NOT... That's what I'm trying to say with the whole topic here... My tub looks overall the same BUT where you have pointed there is no Creapure written... There is only Creatine Monohydrate Supplement written - check the picture here please ---> img406.imageshack.us/img406/9996/80224209.jpg - copy/paste in browser

I bough it from a website which I have no previous experience with. And that's my concern - that it might be coming from a place like the one from snorkelman's picture which makes me suspicious... That's what I'm trying to understand with the topic - are there creatine powders with the tube I have shown or the one I bought is some crap that doesn't officially exists and if so I won't use it and will throw it in the rubbish.

    Thanks!

Though if I were gonna go ahead and fake the brand name, I'd probably put the Creapure label too, I don't know.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense to fake it yet leave it suspicious. I'm waiting for a response from the website I've ordered from. If they claim everything is alright I'll contact ON to check their answer.

Thanks a lot for your time and responsiveness. Still laughing at the picture from snorkelman - thanks for that too

    Hi lqlqlq,

The same thing just happened to me, except that I purchased this last ON in my usual supplement shop.
It seems to me that if they bothered to change the package, it means that it's not CreaPure anymore...
I really like ON products, but I'll buy another creatine from now on, as I really want the best for my body.

I just bought 600g of ON micronized creatine monohydrate from a reputable store in Ireland. The tub looks the same as yours, no curves, and it does not say creapure anywhere on the tub. Just noticed it when I got home. Can anyone confirm why this is?

If it's still creapure, why bother to change the label?
Creapure it's the best creatine monohydrate , IF a company (ON in this case) uses it there is no reason not to write that on the label, and try to hide this fact like it's some sort of weird banned substance.

    All,
First off - going forward I would suggest that questions be directed to our ON Consumer Affairs Department at consumer@optimumnutrition.com where you will get a prompt and accurate company response as opposed to a forum.
With that said - There are actually 2 authentic versions of ON Micronized Creatine available.
The US version (produced here in our facility outside of Chicago) is sold in the US and everywhere outside of the EU countries and has “Creapure Creatine” on the front (the bottle you are probably used to seeing on many US websites).
The EU version (produced in our facility in Middlesbrough, UK) is made to be compliant for the countries of the EU and has “Micronized Creatine” on the front. That product uses either Creapure or other high quality micronized Creatine that has been approved through our Q/C standards - or a combination of the two.
So the product you have is authentic ON and will deliver exactly the same results and benefits that have come to know and trust from ON.
    Hope this helps!
    Jay

Thanks for your reply, Jay. Just to make sure I understand you correct - ON can't guarantee that we'll get Creapure if we purchase "ON Creatine Monohydrate" through a store in Europe?

I am pretty sure most agree that Creapure is the best Creatine, hands down. I don't care about the Q/C standards of Optimum Nutrition and other "high quality" creatine. What I personally care about is Creapure, and (if I understand you correct) you're saying that ON Creative Monohydrate produced in the UK does NOT ALWAYS use Creapure?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of ON..but if I'm not 100% guaranteed that the Creatine I buy is made of Creapure, I may have to find a replacement for us.

I love quality companies but whether or not something says Creapure? It's not that big of a deal. The difference between Creapure which i think is like at least 99% creatine mono and even a no-named company that sells creatine or let's say a VS brand of creatine - what are we talking about a 1% difference.

Just go with a top notch quality company and go with the right creatine. Doesn't have to be trademarked Creapure. It's nice to say your creatine is from where you get it if you want people to know your quality. That's more of brand recognitiion through trademarks. I like to see it but I rather see a top-notch quality company with a tremendous product line. Using the right dosages in formulas is more important in some circumstances then trademarks. You know how often I see a product that uses the trademark but only a spritzer of the actual product? ON is better then that spritzer product I just made an analogy out of. Look around on website and you will see what i am talking about. Do a little math.

If a product is creapure, supplement companies brag about their product using creapure. When the product is not creapure, some companies resort to trickery and attempts to confuse the ignorant consumer.

Even though I have repeatedly requested supplement companies who claim their non-creapure product is exactly as pure as creapure for proof, they never ever have delivered.

My standing challenge to any non-creapure pusher: I Request a test of their product from a third party on impurities. Specifically I want to see the percentage and/or specific amount found in relation to: dicyandiamide, dihydrotriazine, and creatinine.

Chances are neither of your products really contain Creapure, why? I know for a fact that EU regulations won't let you state that you use a certain ingredient if the required amounts/processes are not met, whereas it is something you may be able to get away with in the US or outside the EU...
    Progress is a slow process.
