Push day
Well today I decided to apply my new deadlift rep scheme to two push day lifts that I have struggled with in the past. These lifts are the barbell bench press and the overhead press and guess what chumps....
2 NEW PB's!!!
Todays session
BB Bench: 40kg x 5, 45kg x 5, 50kg x 5, 60kg x 3, 70kg x 2
CGBP: 40kg x 8, 50kg x 6, 50kg x 6, 50kg x 6, 50kg x 5
OH Press: 30kg x 5, 35kg x 4, 40kg x 3, 45kg x 2, 50kg x 1
Shoulder Press: 15kg x 8, 15kg x 5, 12.5kg x 7, 12.5kg x 6, 12.5kg x 6
So chuffed with the two PB's today

Leg day
Not a good day.
Todays session
Back squat: 80kg x 3, 85kg x 3, 90kg x 3, 110kg x 1, 120kg x 0, 117.5kg x 0
SLDL: 60kg x 8, 60kg x 8, 60kg x 8, 60kg x 8, 60kg x 8,
Belt squat: 50kg x 0
The squats went ok untill I tried a PB of 120kg and failed, I tried 117.5kg but also failed so that sucks. I moved on to SLDL and they went fine, got a good stretch and really felt it in the hamstrings then went on to do belt squats. I got to the bottom of my first rep and went to go back up and the joint between my right femur and hip went numb all of a sudden. Consequently I fell off the stands and know I feel like that joint is full of ice cold water and very tender!
I ****ing hate leg day, didn't even finish my workout!New Evolution shat on me

Yeah the dude was a really nice guy, but I can only advertise them for what they are, and who ever bids, bids.
I'm always on the lookout for another set, if you are interested we can split it? I want a couple of the small plates and some 20s or 15s.My training log:

In this bich...if that's cool
How much weight are you trying to lose?
2200 seems like a lot of cals if trying to cut.
BTW: Congrats on upcoming marriage!Last edited by super_tactical; 07-30-2012 at 12:35 PM.

Fine by me.
I'm doing it slowly to try and maintain what mass I have. I am losing inches round the gut though but my weight is staying roughly the same so I assume I am doing ok.
Also, nice lifts I want to hit a 100kg bench or 225lbs by the end of the year. I have always had issues with bench, mostly confidence but recently I have decided to lose the collars and really go for it. Worst case scenario with this is a few broken ribs and plates if I have to slide them off. (I train alone at home so getting trapped under a barbell is a major risk)
A yesssss, how is your log going? I will have to drop by.New Evolution shat on me

Thanks.
If you stay at 2200 cals you won't really drop that much bodyfat percentage in 7 weeks. I had roughly the same LBM as you when I started to cut cals, about 133lbs.
I would start off eating NO MORE than 1700 cals per day right now if you're not doing cardio, 1800 if you are. You will thank me in 7 weeks. Trust me. Eat 160-180grams of protein every day. It is very hard to do but it will pay off big time.
If you lift 3-4x a week and do not have an active job, your maintenance cals are probably around 2200. Drop to 1700 cals/day to lose 1lb/week
Here's just a peak at what I did. I didn't lose any muscle and actually went up in lifts.
When I weighed:
165lbs: I ate 1300 cals/day
160lbs: 1500 cals
155lbs: 1600 cals
153lbs: 1700 cals
I am now cutting from 11% to 9%BF at 17-1800 cals and have not lost any muscle, lifts have not dropped at all.#blackriflelivesmatter

Some nutrition calculator thing on the internet put my BMR at 2700kcals. I am not sure how you can only eat 1800kcals per day? I am already starving on 2200!!!
You know this!
Although...
A mile into my run today my lower back starting aching and then my right hip joint started hurting. It did this last week when squatting as well, I am going to ring the Doctor in the morning and see if I can get it seen to.New Evolution shat on me

Push day
Todays session was a mixed bag, I failed to match my previous PB for overhead press but I got...
A NEW PB
for bench press
Todays session
Bench press: 45kg x 5, 50kg x 5, 55kg x 5, 65kg x 3, 75kg x 1 77.5 x 0, 50kg x 10
CGBP: 52.5kg x 6, 52.5kg x 6, 50kg x 5, 50kg x 5, 50kg x 5
OH Press: 32.5kg x 4, 37.5kg x 3, 42.5kg x 2, 52.5kg x 0, 50kg x 0
Shoulder Press: 15kg x 8, 15kg x 7, 15kg x 6, 12.5kg x 7, 12.5kg x 6
Was chuffed with the 75kg bench but I think I went for another 2.5kg too soon afterwards. I busted out a clean set of 10 afterwards though with a lighter weight. CGBP felt a little heavier than before, I think it was the bench failure ****ing with my head! My shoulders didn't want to play ball today, couldn't hit the 52.5kg for **** and failed at my previous PB as well. Shoulder press was fun, it's nice to burn those wankers with some lower weight!!!
I also did 6 minutes on the rowing machine afterwards.
Every little helps........New Evolution shat on me
