Whats up from Fairhaven Havok!!! I weighed 326lbs on October 30th. A gym opened right near my house and i have been there 5-6 nights a week since halloween, coupled with a Keto diet. This morning i weighed in at 287. still got a long way to go, but as far as my mindset, i realize i need to be in this for the long haul and it helps for me to not be so concerned with weighing 250 by a certain date. I do have goals set, but its just a target. thanksgiving, christmas, and new years were pretty big obstacles but now that thats over i have only missed 2 gym sessions this month and they were planned rest days. wish i took before pictures so i could see progress...
I'd assume people are reading this thread to read what has worked for other people... one thing i do is i have a dry erase board on the back of my door. i put a big green G on the board everyday when i get home from the gym.... believe me when i tell you its nice to see all of those on there... its like a visual reminder of all the hard work you've put in... and it does make it harder to skip that gym session... and easier to skip that ice cream sundae. when the new month hits, i will be writing on the side of the board "January 27/31" so at the beginning of the month i dont lose the visual. Just a thought.

congratulations on the progress . don't focus too much on numbers . you may look great at 260 and not need to get to 250 ? know what I mean ? just remember progress is possible every day . even if your just 1 percent better then you were yesterday . all them days over time are going to add up .
this is all up to you , great power lies in your hand's .

Well my mindset is this. I don't want to be a huge bodybuilder, I want to be lean, and I do believe I will reach my goals, because my goals aren't like I want to be Arnie. Anyway, I know it'll be tough, because my genetics are poor, but who cares. i go and do my workouts because I enjoy them. i don't enjoy doing them, but i enjoy the feeling after I've done them. A feeling of being one step closer to my dream body. I eat healthily, so that's a bonus. For me, it's a lifestyle. A lifestyle I enjoy.

My mindset is to always keep growing not just physically but mentally as well. Weight lifting its something that always keeps me motivated and I am always learning new things. Regarding the first post where it mentioned losing motivation regarding the natty growth potential I have to say that at first I was a bit frustrated about that fact but lately I've just accepted that an overall healthy, lean, muscular body that can run long distances, run relatively fast paced, lift heavy weights and has overall general fitness is more valuable to me than being the biggest guy in the room. I am certainly enjoying the journey.

Mind controlling is the hardest part of my life. But I believe nothing can give you better result if you can't control your mind. What I truly believe "don't let people who don't care about you, manipulate your mind, feelings and emotions or control how you think about yourself. Never give that much power to someone else."

What keeps my mind sharp and concentrated is the thought that I only live once and I need to do absolutely everything in my power to be able to live it to the fullest of my ability. I don't want to be a mess, a wreck. I need to to realize the best version of me possible, both spiritually and mentally. Both are equally important to me.
