Sure don't. No registry, permits, licenses, or applications. No restrictions on magazine capacity, muzzle breaks, stocks, any of that non-sense.

-Walk into store
-Select weapon
-Fill out the ATF form that everyone signs
-Wait for 15 minutes for background to clear
-Pay
-Leave


In and out before a California resident can even file for a handgun permit.

Oh, boy. NY, NJ, IL, and CA won't let you own combat rifles, for all intents and purposes. I'm not the one to ask about specifics, but you can always either look up their revised statutes or ask insomniac.

in florida, I:

-walk into store
-see what i like
-tell clerk i want this gun
-he starts paperwork and calls whoever he calls for background
-gets the ok
-i sign 2 signatures and date both
-walk out of store in less than 15 min (this is if i knew what i want before i came to the gun store).

if i didn't have my ccw, it'll be a 3 day wait. long rifles i can take home right away.

Here's my BHP .40 -- have had it for several years but it's a fantastic weapon.



And here's the whole "family" . . . so far. Next up I plan to add an M&P .40. Almost got one for my b-day but needed a new laptop instead. Will have to make that my Xmas present to myself.

The AR is a DDM4. Pretty basic, but it was my first AR and I wanted something nice that I could add to and learn with.

Glock 19 is one of my favorites for daily carry. Depends on what kind of handguns you like.

I prefer the 1911 for CCW in most cases but the G19 is a close second for overall comfort/reliability.

Anything with moving parts will always have a chance to fail brah.

What caliber are you looking for? Ammo capacity? Safety? Double Action?

In. Just starting to really get into firearms. Shot my dad's .38 special revolver and Makarov .380 a few weeks ago. He's getting me a Remmington 870 for my birthday . I can also opt for an AK47 for my birthday.

In all seriousness though, I think my FNP-45 Tacticals are head and shoulders better than my HK45, even with a very expensive trigger job added to the HK. And the HK45 is way better than my old USP45.

I also think the FNH carbines are magnificent. Still haven't gotten around to buying the HK rifle yet.
