You know that that is just so phukin' awesome CM
You're looking great --- very balanced and still lean despite gaining 25lbs. A perfect picture of health!
You're still carrying a load of mass for mot having trained in 3 months. Make way for muscle memory now that you're back in it.
I know where you're coming from: my ortho told me to give up lifting after my 5th shoulder op and I had a heart scare last month and was told to stop heavy lifting. If you can't do what you enjoy then life is very limiting, so it's great that you're back into it and I'm sure that you'll train smart
Great transformation, especially over 7 months!
Great pressing --- mirin' the range and control! Looking strong
Huge mass and looking strong. And I agree..... you and SB were twins separated at birth
Happy New Year everyone!"Better to wear out than rust out!"
Squat 165kg/363lbs
Deadlift 190kg/418lbs

Nope only solution is another bypass. My Right upper was stented and LAD replaced in bypass. Another needed bypass and didnt get it doctor ran out of piping during surgery. Other collapsed 5 months after bypass.
I wish they had rotorooter for people. Seems like they should dont it? I joke about it all the time.
I will need another bypass just trying to by some time right now. You dont have unlimited spare arteries to use.

Load of mass in my fat head. Was everything ok with your heart? For now my plan is to train with out straining. I know not max results but who cares. I really have not done much since May. I was just starting to be able to move some decent weight after bypass when I stopped again. Some lifts I still have not done since May.
Start of year shot. Hoping 2013 is better than 2012. Off to the gym in a few. Just cardio.

Is your Doctor at least growing some you some more arteries? I have a freind up here (Canada) who has had some major artery replacements, from groin to heart, and they grew some in the lab in preperation of this last go around. I would expect this can be done in the US too.
My wife I will also keep you in our prayers. It really sucks that you so badly want to be in the gym and too many sad sacks just sit on the couch never even thinking about living healthy.

I'm truly humbled to see some of the obstacles you guy are fighting and overcoming. It amazes me how many people throw away there health while others have to fight so hard to keep it. Keep it up I hope 2013 brings better news.

I hate to say it but 'running out of pipe' is no excuse because they should have harvested more vein at the time to make more conduit. They were probably hoping to stretch the mammary artery far enough to cover two vessels. Unfortunately the 'growing' arteries is about using a mesh and getting cells to grow on it and 'epithelialise' it. That's possible with the Aorta and major leg and arm arteries where they have been using Dacron and Goretex for 30 years, so it's a better version of what they already use, but it's not an option for very small calibre vessels like coronaries
You've still got a good athletic frame and regardless, you did well to get back to the gym after the first op and you'll be back again even if it means more reps and TUT and fewer maxes
My own issue was with a being diagnosed with 'leaking' Aortic and Mitral valves and having a scan which showed an Aorta that was twice the area it should be. I was getting suddenly light headed and short of breath and had maxed on deadlifts at 400lbs the week before. I'm in the business (a cardiac anaesthesiologist) so it looked like the years of heavy lifting and high pressures had caused the top end of the Aorta to swell, stretching the Aortic valve so that it leaked with the back pressure blowing up the ventricle and making the mitral valve leak. The advice was to stop lifting immediately with the prospect of OHS to replace the Aorta in a few years and the risk of sudden death Long story but I organised a full recheck. I have the leaky valves (and the leaks are 'trivial') and the Aorta is OK --- they took a bad cut on the US image. I have to be rechecked but I feel that it's OK to keep lifting, although I have given up plans of trying for a 5pps dead"Better to wear out than rust out!"
