warning small incoming rant...
so one of my professors assigned this online biology site that we are supposed to go on to some of our homework
I have put aside some time on my saturday to be a good student and do my homework
I put a ham in the oven to bake
I got the laundry going
I go on the site and registered for my course
the course opens up and .......nothing..no assignment posted
sooo...I go back to my college site and check to see if he sent an email about it..nope
then I check on blackboard to see if he listed the assignment there...uh no.
I hate it when teachers tell their students to go do something and then forget to tell them what it is they are supposed to be doing...

Some intensive suicide intervention training for 20 of us today and tomorrow. Good stuff.
And an awards formation tomorrow. Nothing like standing at parade rest for 20 min to make my shoulders and arms go numb!Journal- One of the Ogres

Please, please please, no judging but, Oh my goodness what have I gotten us into? A serious, honest to God question: would you donate money to help a business get through a rough patch? If you knew the owners wanted to do right by their members, knew how much they themselves loved the place (even to the point of asking for outside help), but the owners were just new and had little to no extra revenue to put into it themselves, would you help them? Please no flaming, but I am nearly sick. No, I am not asking you all for anything, except your honest opinion. I am seriously considering using that indiegogo website for raising some money for our little gym. If I had known the utilities were going to be astronomical the past couple of months and that we'd have to be practically threatening some people to stick to their contract agreements, I'd have asked for a bigger buffer and not bought the few pieces we did get. Now I just want to keep the doors open and my family out of the damn poorhouse. I feel like such a stupid woman and will probably end up with an ulcer before this is over

Protein brownies and blueberry muffins.
I'm also in the process of making some "lots of chicken" soup with sweet potato, carrot and a few potatoes (because I still love the damn things).
I used it be a terrible cook. Finally seem to be getting the hang of it now. I got sick of eating tasteless food!
What's happening folks? I just calculated my daily calories and I have enough spare for a glass of red wine.... Yippee!

I am sorry to hear you are struggling with your gym Mrs. H. I am not a business owner so I have no good advice to give you. My brother opened up a pizza place when he was in his early thirties and ran into similar troubles...hidden costs he had not planned on. He asked me for help and I had the money then to do so. I think you have been given some excellent advice already. I wish you all the best and pray it goes well for your family

I'm am so sorry! I don't have any advice to give since I am not in this field. I did find some links for you for the state of Tennessee. Maybe one of these will help?
Small Business Association-state of TN
http://www.sba.gov/about-offices-content/2/3147
Dept of Economic and Community Development
Rural Small Business and Entrepreneurship Loan Fund:
http://www.tn.gov/ecd/bero/loan.html
(Can't remember if you live in a rural area)
Small Business Start Up Loans
http://www.grants.gov/
Grants for Women (Not sure if this applies to your case)
http://www.usagovernmentgrants.org/womens_grants.html
You might want to see if the YWCA in your state has grants-I know it does in my state:
http://www.ywcanashville.com/
Or, since you probably co-own with your husband, you might try the YMCA?
Or, just a thought--I don't know if you belong to a church Mrsh, but if so, maybe your congregation would be able to help?
Sorry I don't have better answers for you! Keeping you in my thoughts.
