OP took a picture of herself wearing a wet shirt and posted it on the internet, boyfriend found out and beat her.
Edit. Are those shoes those clip in ones? If they are do you think your injury could have been prevented if you wore normal runners? Get well soon.Last edited by ThatWei; 06-22-2012 at 10:12 PM.

I really feel for you.... i cant imagine going through that without having it stablized.
Do you have a plate? The ortho put a rod and screws so i wouldnt have to worry about a plate rubbing on my bra strap or seatbelt.
Soze, I was on my drops, clipping along at 21-22mph about 27miles in... was a glorious ride and had about another 15mi left. my shifters are on the hoods so i was reaching up to downshift with my right hand and somehow hit a decent sized bump on the bike path. Lost control, thought i regained it a bit lifted my left hand to get on my breaks a bit, and then veered left into a tall chainlink fence right where the pole was. back tire came up and if it werent for the pole and my shoulder i woulda ended up going over. helmet flew off (somehow) and feet came unclipped.
ar first i just thought i dislocated my shoulder and went to stand upright and pull my shoulders back..... and thats when i felt/heard all off the popping from my collar bone couldnt breathe very well at all and was worried id punctured a lung, but i think it was just panic. called the bf in tears (was in straight 11/10 agony) and then had to figure out the closest road and walk to it to meet him. A nice guy stopped and helped me get my bike turned around and told me the street name and hobbled myself about 2-300 yards to the street and sat there trying to breath through it on some steps. BF was about 25 minutes away, so it felt like eternity.
somehow got into his truck and then battled 30+ min of traffic trying to get to the hospital, roads were rough and truck was sorta bouncy, lol. By the time i got out of the truck i was dropping F-bombs like it was to only word i knew! So, turns out (surgeon just walked out of the room) the left clavicle was in 4 pieces. this morning he put a rod through it an secured it to the sternum. kinda cool as he just showed me the xray. last night was brutal since it was just crunching and popping with every move (getting up to pee was NO fun.)
NOW, i cant work for about a month, no lifting for 2 months (can do isolateral stuff after 1 month on right side) and imma be pretty bored for a while.
All in al, its my only injury, outside of the gnarly bruises on my shoulder and small cut on my leg.... i have lots to be thankful for!

Good thing you were wearing your helmet. Srs. I never wear my helmet when I bike, but i'll probably start to.
Feels bad man. Havent had a similar experience so i cannot relate.
GL and have a good recovery.
Side story: At least you arent my brother. He got in a drunk bike accident (lol hipster) and now he has a scar on his forhead. He looks like harry potter (srs).

No i broke my collarbone in two, not four pieces so i only got a sling. Doc said if it was any worse i wouldve needed surgery. Bones just fused back together overlapping. Good stuff. Show us your x rays. You took pics didnt you???? I'll show you mine if you show me yours*Sunnyvale Trailer Park Crew*
