    3 week cut progress (220-205)

I posted a thread about my bulking progress where I went from 165 to 220 you can read that here : http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...1&welcome=true

Been cutting for 3 weeks now and seeing good results in waist size and have not lost any strength. So good so far. Here are some pics :

15 pounds and about 3 weeks apart

and here is one where I am at the gym and very pumped. Still got my traps.

I am going to keep on cutting until the 7th of august when I go to spain for holiday with my school. Would like to be around 190 with some good abs showing.

Here you can better see how my waist has gotten smaller. It has gone from 39 inches down to 36. Goal is 32ish

10 lbs of that was probably water weight.

But I can definitely see the progress. Good job man.

Yes I talked to quite a few experienced lifters before starting cutting and all of them gave me the same advice : keep training heavy and try using the same weights as before. So I have been doing very low reps with high weight in the big lifts : bench, squat, deadlift, rows and military press. Topping it off with pumping high reps in isolation exercises and doing morning cardio 4x a week. I think that is biggest factor in how I kept all my strength.

A lot of people make the mistake of training with light weights when cutting. When the body feels that he is not required to be as strong as he used to be, he backs down. I prevented that by still going heavy and am very happy with the results.

Yes a lot of water weight definitely, I was holding a lot of water at my heaviest. I ate everything in sight and a lot of fast food (almost everyday).
