After I cook my weeks worth of food on Sundays my fridge is over half Tupperware lol. I don't even know what a fresh meal tastes like anymore!

Got my last bit of cardio in today before the wedding rehearsal. Pumped out 2 miles @8:15/mile pace. Pumped I could push my sore aching body so fast. Felt great and then had a 1/5 mile walk to cool down.
Tomorrow is up at 6 AM for legs with my bro and then it's wedding and reception. Gonna be a long day without any carbs. Visualize and EXECUTE!!

1 week out
Peak week officially starts for me tomorrow but today is exciting as I will be eating 2 cups oats and some raisins after 3 day no carb.
Was up at 6AM an my brother and I headed out into the cold dark morning to the YMCA to train legs. Really helped to have a training partner because I am like a dead man walking right now. No doubt over trained and over cardioed but the end is in sight.
Squats: 45x10, 135x10, 195x8, 225x8, 255x6, 275x4
SLDL: 135x10, 225x10, 225x8, 225x8
Leg Press: 400x10x 490x10, 580x10
Leg extensions - 4 sets
Seated leg curls - 3 sets
Really struggled to move some weight today. Feel like I have no stability left in my hips and core and feel like I am gonna snap like a twig during squats. Leg press machine was different than what I'm used to. It was hinged instead of a sliding sled.
Rest of the day is getting ready for my brother-in-law's wedding and reception. Goal is to make my calories last all day since it will no doubt be a late night. Saving carbs until end of night for a bit of a pick me up so I have some energy to socialize.
Tomorrow I'm headed back to the Y to train back with my bro before traveling back home. Almost there!!!

Thanks - can't wait
Spent most of the day being in my brother-in-law's wedding and at the reception. Had a blast and did it all on water, almonds and some beef jerky. Was hard to pass up the awesome crab stuffed flounder, beef tenderloin and awesome desserts. Sacrifice to win though. How bad to you want it? Thoroughly enjoyed refeeding tonight on about 140 grams of carbs, all from oats. Sooooo damn yummy, even if they were plain.
Tomorrow it's back to the Y for a back workout - my last "normal" workout before I start depletion focused workouts in prep for my competition next Saturday. Unfortunately my day 90 pics will be when I'm 3 days carb depleted, but I'm confident in the outcome none the less
Really need to start putting together my posing routine too (60 seconds). Life has just been too busy the last 4-6 weeks that it has been little more than a passing thought. Will pull something together though. My wife is really great at helping me choreograph my routine everytime I compete.

Here are a couple pics in poor lighting I shot with my phone this evening. Nothing really awesome, just happy about some hamstring popping as well as FINALLY being able to semi-flex my chest again on the front lat spread. The healing process is a slow one for sure, but I think we are on the mend after a week of inactivity with the chest....

Thanks Billy!
Bro and I hit the gym when it opened at 10 AM. Was really dragging ass and was hard to push myself on most sets but as workout went on, great vascularity and muscle pumps were coming. Was fun having random people stop and watch your sets too. Good motivator.
Pull-ups - 3 sets
Deadlifts - 5 sets
Seated Cable Row - 3 sets
Underhand grip lat Pulldown - 3 sets
T-bar row - 3 sets
Straight arm Pulldown - 3 sets
Seated machine row - 2 sets
Lotta volume but loved it. Didn't have much left for cardio but did 20 minutes incline treadmill. Got a run planned for later today and some abs then packing up and making the 3 hour trek back home!!

On the road again!
Finally on the road again. Back to the homestead! 3 hours and most likely all in darkness thanks to this clock change
Got a 2 mile run in at the resort before hopping in the car. Motivated to get home I banged out 2 miles at a 7:56/mile pace.
Getting up before work for abs and cardio tomorrow will be challenging after a long weekend of sleeping until 7 or 8 AM.
Gonna be pushing cardio hard until Thursday in an effort to lose more of this flub. Weight training from tomorrow on will consist of purely drop sets, hitting each bodypart every two days for next 4 days. Friday off completely also off from work Thurs and Friday.
Also gonna weigh in after 4 days away from scale. Curious how this weekend worked out for me.

As just about all competitor's prepping for a contest do, I have been spending a good amount of time thinking and planning out my next moves regarding training post contest. I have decided to go ahead with Sheiko 29, not unlike many of the guys in this forum. Will be my first experience with the Sheiko training methods. My reasons for selecting this were several:
1. I need less days in the gym so I can focus more time on work and family. Being 6 or 7 days a week over the last several months has been really draining on other areas of my life.
2. I am competing over the holidays in the 4th annual Powerlifting Competition in my garage. My brothers/family/friends come over and we do a PL competition, each getting 3 attempts at Squat/Bench/Deadlift and then calculate your score as a % of your total bodyweight. Highest % wins. Always a fun time and being the defending champ I need to get my maxes up to a respectably level again!
3. Really want to get off to a good start so I can tackle my personal goals of 585 lb deadlift and 405 squat.
That being said, I may end up going with a modified Sheiko 29 depending on how my chest feels. Right now the intense burning feeling has subsided and is replaced with an achy bruised feeling that is always there. I haven't tried lifting much at all, but was able to do some light seated chest press at the gym today. This week I'm going to try some LIGHT drop sets to try and get a pump and will take 4-7 days off after my show completely from lifting. At that point when I test my maxes, I will decided what to do. If I'm not feeling fully recovered I will follow 29 as planned, but for all bench movements, basically work on rehabbing my chest.
Looking forward to GROWING a TON the next 2 years, possibly growing my FAMILY and continuing to expand Team DEMON and help as many people as possible achieve their fitness/competition goals.
Until tomorrow...

Weighed in at 188.7 lbs today. Expected to be a bit heavier since my water and sodium intake has increased a good bit.
After 5.5 hours of fitful sleep, I headed into the gym for cardio and abs. Hungry much more often now it seems which sucks and craving carbs like nobody's business.
Elliptical - 25 minutes @level 6
Treadmill - 18 minutes @3.8 MPH upto incline 7.0
Swiss ball crunches - 4 set
Rope Crunches - 3 sets
Ab Machine Crunch - 3 sets
Heading in after work for some circuit like training, hitting half my body with all drop sets. Will do other half of body tomorrow and then repeat Wed and Thurs

Thanks Alex - I use the term "look good" loosely this time around, as I'm far from happy with where I'm gonna end up. It's been a tough pill to swallow for me, because in my previous 3 shows I always out-did my previous. I feel I will be falling short of my performance from June. However, I am a realist and it's necessary for a bodybuilder to be a tough critic to himself in order to achieve maximum results. At this point, I've set my mind to the fact that I'm just thrilled to have the opportunity to compete as a pro within NABBA. A top 5 finish will be a complete shock, and I'm looking to just enjoy myself and the moment and already have a strong plan for the future.
That being said, I am drilling peak week just as hard as I normally would and even extending my last workout/cardio session into Thursday (typically I do NOTHING Thurs and Fri before a show). Maybe that 1/4 lb of fat loss could bring out some added detail I'm sorely lacking. We will see where the chips fall though. Maybe all the other competitors will be suffering from severe distended bellies from GH use or something

Nice to see you already have a plan for after your show, spending more time with the family i am sure will be much appropriated.
Competing as a pro or not, you have really killed this prep. So many things in your way to this competition and you have held your head high and carried on

Thanks Dean.
In other news, was walking in my basement a short while ago and taking a large, full stride, managed to smash my two smallest toes on my left foot against the leg of the sofa. Horrible pain that brought me to the floor swearing up a storm. Now my left pinky toe is badly bruised and I can barely walk on it.
Can I catch a break at some point or what?! Seriously just pissed me the hell off!!!

I know, I know. Very short tempered today, that's all. Getting less than adequate sleep doesn't help either. It's only a bit after 3 PM and I have 2 meals left for the day, all of which are a paultry 265 calories. I will be a blast to be around tonight! Hoping I can get a good pump at the gym and feel a bit better about things because that's really all I have today.
Ok, I'm done bitching now

So workout tonight was slow to start, but felt and looked good as the workout progressed. I had limped into the gym my foot was hurting so bad from the earlier accident, but eventually caffeine and adrenaline numbed the pain and I was able to get work done.
I had a couple goals for my workout tonight. One of which was to test my injured left pec. The other was to focus on all PUSH movements, utilizing drop sets to get some sick pumps. Both went well and I even benched 135x7 towards the end which was very promising. I still feel like my left pec is almost defective. Meaning, I can't flex it as hard or get a good pump in there, so I feel like my chest is severely lacking in most poses. I'm doing this same workout again on Wednesday and will try harder to squeeze my chest without causing too much pain and get some more blood in there.
DB Bench Press - 20x10, 30x10, 40x10
Seated DB Shoulder Press - 45x10
Seated Machine Shoulder Press - 2 drop sets to about 20 reps
Side DB Laterals - 3 drop sets to 25 reps, running from 30 down to 15 lbs
V-Bar Tricep Extensions - 2 drop sets to 25 reps each
1 set of pushups - 20 reps
Barbell Bench Press - 135x7
Rope Extensions - 2 drop sets to about 20 reps
Leg Press - 400x15, 490x10, 580x10, 1 drop set (580x14, 490x5, 400x5)
Seated Calf Raise - 135x15, 160x15, 170x12, 1 drop set (170, 160, 135)
All this looks like alot but only took about an hour as I was moving and not using really heavy weights. Afterwards I hit up some more cardio:
Elliptical - 15 minutes @level 7
Treadmill - 15 minutes @3.9 MPH up to Incline 8.0
Tomorrow it's up at 5 again for cardio/abs and then after work will hit PULL movements, focusing on back/biceps/hamstrings, following a similar plan of attack as tonight.
It's also day 90 for a TSN sponsored log I'm doing to see who can get the most shredded. I have been using their Cardio Ignitor and XAT-7 fat burner throughout prep. Will be slapping on a coat of pro-tan and taking some pics/vids and posting up a before and after in my TSN log. Once everyone has their results in (20 people total), they will judge them. I believe first place gets $300 in TSN supps. We'll see how it goes. As much as I'd love to carb up for the final pics, I'm staying the course with my peak week plan and not deviating at all, even for this contest.
