Distal Clavicular Osteolysis..aka "Weight lifter's shoulder" my AC Joint has opened up and the bones are wearing out faster than they can re-generate in a nutshell. Been dealing with this since last October....had a Cortisone shot back In January and it helped..but only for a month..physiotherapy 3 times a week...acupuncture, ART, Graston...etc..etc...2 x-rays and 2 Ultrasounds later I finally got diagnosed.
Today I seen a very reputable chiro in my area who himself is a competitive power lifter and he said 2 weeks and I should be ok...I was like is this real life?? After suffering with this pain since October to the point where I had to stop all upper body lifting for several weeks on 2 occasions to let it heal and I will be better in 2 weeks?? :-O
He gave me some simple isometric exercises to do every couple of hours, and gave me some ART treatments...already feels better...back in 1 week for more ART...then in 2 weeks for follow up....
So if any of you brothers/sisters have been dealing with similar shoulder woes go get a proper diagnosis...this is not (as I was starting to believe myself) something that you have to live with for the rest of your lifting days. :-)

Meh. Something is wrong with my left shoulder. Seems to get tired..quickly. Also tends to "roll out of place" when doing pull ups or things of that nature. It's not actually rolling out of place but I feel everything shift and I have to stop what im doing and recollect. I have no idea what it is.
It all started when I was at baseball and jerked my left arm really quick to catch a line drive. Caught the ball, but my shoulder clicked around 6-7 times when going backwards. Was the weirdest thing.

We've had this talk before. I don't want to burst your bubble but my AC joint has nagged for years. You can get temp fixes but not much in the way of permanent fixes. Honestly, I can say putting a little more focus on strengthening it without hurting it more has made the pain a lot more manageable to nearly none at all. If you don't already have it, you'll start to notice a lump on that shoulder start to stick out. Atleast in my case it's the joint continuing to seperate farther and farther away. I fear it will eventually blow out regardless of what I do. I also fear your chiro may definitely be getting far ahead of himself telling you anything in the way of a fix let alone a 2 week fix. I truly hope I'm wrong bro...Good luck..

Good luck bro, hope it all heals up. Would hate to see you not be able to lift."Whoa, peanut-butter does look a lot like Cum." - Alan Aragon

thanks bro..I was also very leery when he said 2 weeks and I will be fine...trust me when u are dealing with a chronic pain for going on 9 months you dont expect it to ever get better...the strengthening exercises he gave me will balance out my shoulder better which right now has the front delt overcompensating for the rear...I had that "bump" u speak of on my collar bone last winter and after it went away it never returned thankfully.
I guess all I can do is follow the Chiros orders for now and cross my fingers.
