Hell yes. I would have got a DUI, and said I don't know where the money went because I was an alcoholic, and I spent on booze and hookers. All the while it would be stashed away for my retirement after my new 15 month fitness program. 15 months later I would come out rich, and ready for retirement in the Caribbean.

Do these machines really carry that kind of money? Or was he withdrawing 3000 a day? Most banks have limits - I would think the machine would stop even if it's not taken from his account
Not to be a killjoy, but there is no such thing. There is Samoa (formerly Western Samoa and before that belonging to New Zealand) and American Samoa (formerly a German possession). The French never owned anything nearby as fas as I know. I dream of Ta'u.
