    Weighted Chin Ups/Pull ups equipment?

My gym does not have a weight belt, so I was wondering if I could put weights in a backpack and do pull ups/chin ups. Is that bad for your back?

Search Youtube for DIY Weighted Pull Ups...

There are a lot of ways to do it, one I remember seeing was a simple dog leash. Not that I'd recommend it.

    weighted backpack will work.

But, a dip belt will only run $20 or so.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

You can also put a dumbbell between your legs.

Spud inc makes a good dip/pull up belt. Its sold and don't dig in the hips. Also look into a weighted vest. Its more versatile, allows you to add weight on dips and pull ups but can also be used running, sprints, push ups, burpees etc.

Backpack is great till you add more than 50lbs lol

Buy a dip belt, well worth it, make sure you get one with a long chain, or go to home depot and buy a 2-3ft chain, and make your own

You can buy weighted vests(I have one), which would distribute the weight along your upper body. I also have ten pound ankle weights which work on pullups

How much weight can you add to a weighted vest? I might in"vest" in one if It is appealing enough.

Depends on the vest, but most allow you to add or remove weights. Mine is 50 lbs and you can remove weight in 2 lb increments.
