Hey Guys,
What are you experiences with BCCAs? How do you take them? What do they do? Are they better than protein powder? Do you get energy from them when lifting or after? Are they dangerous? What else can you take them with?!
Someone please help I am looking for an expert here to explain this.
thanks ALL!

I'll keep it short and sweet. Both Alan Aragon and Lyle Mcdonald state so long as you get sufficient protein intake as well a have a sufficient preworkout & postworkout meal BCAA would really serve no benefit.
Both sides provide good view points i.e fasted training etc...so the only way to know is to experiement for yourself. I find BCAA to be a luxury personally. So long as you have your diet, training & nutrition in check you should be good.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

I've read the study he did with dosing BCAA between meals but realistically this isn't all to economical and I would doubt it would have a significant impact at all. That's why I said though both sides of the fence can arugue about what studies they have or anecdotal evidence they have till sun up and sun down. I'm on the side where I feel BCAA don't make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things and see them as a luxury if anything.

I have used them before in the past. To me I didn't notice a big enough difference for me to validate buying them on a consistent basis. I have never been in a severe cut so I can't say how they may benefit in that sense and they very well may. I don't see myself wanting to be in a severe cut though, I like eating too much hahahaha
