Barefoot deadlifting = shorter ROM. Someone posted something by Rip saying that it doesn't shorten the ROM (he was talking about Oly shoes vs. no shoes) but my rebuttal is on here somewhere. You'd be surprised how much easier DLing without shoes are. I think they make a big difference but my problem is off the floor.
Barefoot training = better tactile feedback. I've found it easier to "drive through the heels" without shoes, especially on deadlifts.
Oly shoes are becoming more popular amongst the narrow-stanced PLers, which makes sense. For me, I barefoot squat because of the above. If you have ****ty ankle mobility then barefoot squatting will help.“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”

It really all depends on your biomechanics/squat style/preference. Squatting is very tricky - Guys like me can't squat in Oly shoes because it shifts me too far forward and when I squat a lot it causes knee pain. There's too many variables for me to be able to tell you what would work for you. Trial and error is going to be the best thing for you but when in doubt just stick to something with a flat, firm sole to squat. Deadlifting is a little more cut and dry. If you pull conventional you want as little between you and the ground as possible. The same applies for Sumo but you want to wear something that provides traction since you need to be able to drive your knees out and not lose your footing.

ayyyyyyyye what part of my body is poosy as fk if i start to gm around my 3rd-4th sets of 225 for 8 reps squatting?
I push through the 8 reps / 4 sets squatting and try to keep form (chest up, looking slightly up, distributing power evenly) but I can't help but GM towards the later reps with even slight fatigue?"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. is dis proper cable crunch?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1nvxfWlWgM
i'd prolly do cable crunches, 35lb/45lb weighted planks, hanging leg raises and something else (suggestions?) -- in a circuit fashion with 30 sec rest between each exercise and 1 min between each circuit

On the topic of core/ab work, Ross Enamait has some good tutorials on ab wheel rollouts.

It's not the end-all, be-all, so doing a "squat morning" could happen because of a number of things. It could even be a technique issue.“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”
