We can use this thread to discuss the NMisc Summer Transformation Contest (NSTC?).
If you are competing and have a log, link it in here. I'll also use this thread to keep count of the official competitors in the contest, and also post any updates to the contest in here.
Good luck to everyone! Excited to see what some of you can pull off, and see how thick.solid.tight. we can get.

Good to hear. Looking forward to your progress
Do it. I've got time now, when Summer school kicks up I'll be busy, but it honestly takes like 5min a day and you get lots of good advice (and some bad) from people who follow. I remember my first log I was doing some weird circuit bull**** until people here set me straight.Transformation Journal:

Dear SimonThePieman:
Your *******ry in the Picture thread is overwhelming. Stop being a *******, take ****in' pictures and get it over with.

Excited for this, need to shed the fluff and get back down to 30" waist. Great motivational tool to keep up my fitness when I don't have gym access. No excuses

Gonna put up my pics in a couple days, but I will be cutting / recomp (at the moment bulking). Win or lose, as long as we make progress toward our goals I count that as winning. Good luck to everyone!

PhiSig (as already said) and Arlana (an unknown in this subsection) I will have to keep my eye on. You can see her tri's and quads under the fluff... she has a strong foundation under there. Same with Phi... powerlifting density hiding under the fluff.
AdamWW starting that lean on his bulk and getting help from Alex with his training is definately going to be one to watch in the bulking group.

is anyone else trying some experiments?
I am going to experiment further with some calorie cycling protocols and see what happens.
I might also run a few weeks superbro ie chicken, brocolli, brown rice and stuff like that just to see. It may be a good experiment to show bro eating is non-sense, it might even suprise me and work. We'll seeSaying Zyzz inspired you to lift is like saying Justin Bieber inspired you to sing

Actually I will not be trying anything new other than push myself harder on my heavy lifts and add more and more gpp/conditioning work as I go to compensate for BMI changes from weight loss. I'm quite happy with the 10-11 lbs I've already dropped doing my IFFYM + IF in the last 3 weeks. I need to nut up, stop being a pussy and stop using the lower calories as an excuse for letting my pressing regress as I have set squat and pull PR's already cutting. I'll probably work with a fairly consistent deficit unless I despirately need a refeed and then I will probably eat a much larger deficit the day before. I would like to try and avoid them if possible.
I'll probably do some water weight manipulation near the very end, reduce sodium further, avoid all foods that can cause any bloat (dairy, diet soda etc) during the last week or so... assuming I get lean enough for it to matter.
