Is anyone taking progress pics along the way and posting them in their log/bodyspace? Would it be more impressive to see before and after or the gradual change?
Also, for those who are cutting, do you plan on having a refeed day or will you be at a caloric deficit the whole time? Pondering if I should even have a refeed...Patience, dedication, drive.

I probably shouldn't say this, but I just ate one whole pint of B&J's Half Baked (today is my refeed btw) bc I just wanted to know what the big deal was with this icecream. I've done the whole refeed thing in the past and usually see a sudden drop in weight and bf like 2-3 days later. At one point I lost 3% bf in 2 weeks after a refeed so I'm a believer. We'll see how it goes and I hope I didn't goof

I'll probably be taking weekly pics. I like to see the gradual weekly change over time. It also keeps me honest knowing that there will be pics every week.
My refeed is just 1x week where I go out to eat and don't worry about cals/macros. I don't gorge, but I eat whatever I feel like and enjoy the company of friends. Not physically optimal, but its psychologically optimal for me.Transformation Journal:

last supper was pretty healthy. lamb steaks with griddled egg plant, the 2 packs of ferero roche, chocolate and red wine might not have been
I will probably take monthly pics, but might not post them until after the competition. I quite like seeing the start and finish and admiring the big change inbetween.
Refeeds are a big part of diet. I'm doing to run some heavy deficits with big refeeds on a saturday. My theories are pretty much broscience (as there no decent studies in that area and i can only speculate), but i think that method is better than a daily deficit of the same amount.
I will be running a few different protocols so i will see how different things work for meSaying Zyzz inspired you to lift is like saying Justin Bieber inspired you to sing

Yeah I've heard about it here and there and from some people here mentioning the benefits but the only proof I have are my results for since February. I fudged up right after the 100k challenge ended and ate a whole house. That would explain why I look the way I do in my before pics, lol. I've been at a pretty big deficit for a while so definitely wanted a refeed today...tell me how yours works for you

I still don't believe refeeding does sh!t other than giving an energy boost for a few days. What I think is that people say you need to refeed more when you're leaner because you can't have a big deficit then without losing a lot of muscle so the increased refeeding is just reducing the overall deficit. So basically you would get the same results keeping a consistent yet smaller deficit when leaner.
Thoughts?

i might start documenting my diet in my log as well, just to piss of the section of IIFYM that just parrot "calculate you maintenance and subtract 500 cals whilst quoting generic fat requirements"
brb 2 days of trace fat and 2.5K cal deficit and still retaining muscleSaying Zyzz inspired you to lift is like saying Justin Bieber inspired you to sing

Hormonal effect? Very little and it dissipates quickly. Mental effect? Hugeeeeee. Plus it helps keep intensity going strong in the gym.
I think there is something to be said for working through most of your glycogen stores and then topping them off with a refeed(note: I'm using refeed to mean carb-up, I think it is much more beneficial physiologically that way than just a 'free' meal with whatever macros).

Shouldn't I have a refeed/high carb day less frequently since I'm a girl? I mean, our bodies work differently. I'm not supposed to have really low bf so it's even harder to lose it. Just sayin'
