    Protein Shake + Coffee!

Do any of you ladies do this? Mix coffee into your protein shake? If so, how do you do it? Do you just throw some grounds in or make the coffee and use it in the place of water or milk or whatever liquid you would normally use?
    Keep calm and lift something.

If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.

Remember that guy that gave up? Neither does anybody else ...

All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage and I promise you, something great will come of it.

I mix iced coffee in the blender with extra ice, protein powder and some almond milk. It makes a frap kind of thing. It's really good with chocolate whey.

You'll always want to use brewed coffee. Grounds will make it taste putrid, kinda like eating soil.

I used to do what Kjake suggested for my afternoon pick-me-up. Depending on where I was with cals/macros, sometimes I'd leave the whey out and just have the frap, which was really low calories with only ice, almond milk and leftover morning coffee from the carafe.

Yup, I've used any left over morning coffee in my chocolate shakes sometimes (I often share them with my 2 year old so it's not an everyday thing). It's yummy

I pour any leftover coffee from the morning into a jug in the fridge and blend it with milk, ice and chocolate protein powder for a healthy frappe.

I just add a scoop of whey to my morning coffee. You have to let your coffee cool a bit first though, or else I find it doesn't mix very well.

2 shots of espresso + 1 cup milk (preferably whole! it's better that way) + ice + vanilla/chocolate protein powder

It's a pretty good! I have an aeropress that I use to make for the espresso and it's pretty easy/quick to do.

Try this... Useful if following the Paleo or Grass fed diet
-> Any protein powder of your choice (I use Isopure Vanilla; tastes like a Dunkaccino)
-> Teaspoon of grass fed butter
    -> Teaspoon of Coconut oil
-> your choice of brewed hot coffee blended with the protein and other ingredients

Note: try to use fresh brewed coffee so the temperature can melt the coconut oil and grass fed butter
    Hope you enjoy!

This is my favorite weekend protein latte treat! For whatever reason it works best with cellucor whey. I tried optimum nutrition before and it kinda clumped.... Can't vouch for any other brands

1/3 cup almond milk (could probably use any milk)
1/2 scoop protein powder (I like cookies and cream)
Mix that together, either by hand or I just use the Magic Bullet to make sure its nice and blended

Then you add the hot coffee. I use a chocolate raspberry flavor in my Keurig but any hot coffee would work. It is really good and actually gets frothy like a latte.

Yep, this is what I do. We have a little Nespresso machine here at work so every morning I throw in an extra pod and get another shot, throw it in the fridge and then add it to my protein shake in the afternoon before hitting the gym.
Leave all the afternoon for exercise and recreation, which are as necessary as reading. I will rather say more necessary because health is worth more than learning.

Last summer I always froze my coffee in ice cube trays and usually filled up my nutribullet with them, a scoop of chocolate whey and a cup of almond milk plus whatever sweetener you prefer and that made me a yummy iced cap sometimes added almond butter or a few ice cubes of chocolate milk, depending how many calories I want it to be.. I like to freeze my coffee because I like my end result to be like a slushy so I can enjoy it for a while without it melting now I want one

I used Nescafe instant coffee and just throw a teaspoon in with my frozen shakes. Gives it a little coffee flavor without the added grittiness.

I like to melt my butter and coconut oil before I mix it in my coffee, then mix it all up in a blender or bullet. Divine!

I don't add protein powder to it, but that sounds amazing too!

I will just use a RTD protein shake (Like EAS or something) and heat it up for a minute in the microwave in my coffee mug. After that I stick the mug in the ole' Keurig and brew my cup of coffee into it.

Generally I split the shake in half and end up having two cups. It's more like a latte or a mocha.

My favorite combinations are the Vanilla EAS (low carb) with wild blueberry coffee, and the chocolate EAS with caramel coffee.

I love protein powder in my coffee! My recipe is 1/4 scoop vanilla whey + 1 spoonful instant coffee, mixed in a cup of unflavored almond milk until everything's dissolved, and then I add tons of crushed ice. It's delicious and refreshing on a hot day

Lots of good DOs now here is a don't.

DON'T forget your milk at home if you don't like black coffee and definitely don't try stirring whey into your hot coffee as a desperate measure. I'm not a coffee snob or anything but THAT was absolutely disgusting :P

I brew a big pot of coffee, let it cool and pour it into a big water bottle and refrigerate it. In the morning when i mix my shake, i use 1-1 1/2 scoops of vanilla protein powder, 8 oz of almond milk and 8 oz of my cold brewed coffee poured into a shaker bottle with ice. It gives me a great pick me up and keeps me full for at least 2 hours. The coffee lasts me about 5 days, then i brew another pot. I hope this helps!
