    Buying Squat Rack: Need Advice

So someone is willing to sell these for 35 bucks. Should I buy them? I have no squat rack and am low on money.

I would start with a barbell and plates until you can save up enough for something with some kinds of spotting ability. You can always do deadlifts, cleans, press, rows, and curls until then...just with a barbell and plates.

Its a fine price on equipment that will hold the bar in a way that will allow you to squat.

The only question you should ask yourself is whether or not you're willing to take the risk involved in using them. You have to make that decision. Personally, I'd pass.

You, know, that idea really stands up and works.

I was about to suggest spending the money on lumber and bolts and building a homemade power rack.
