Whatever you do make sure you get into halls. I didn't, I rented a house instead with someone who went somewhere different. Big mistake. The halls is where everyone makes friends and has sex. I still had a good time, but it would've been better if I'd have been in halls.

- Live in campus catered halls
- Go out during weekone and don't get utterly wankered otherwise you just look like a tit/won't make it out
- Go on Karni rag raids
- Go up for the JCR elections (get voted into committee).
- Become a ticket seller/rep for promotion companies (if you're notts look into student clubber)
- Don't be a douche
- Be sociable in your hall. i.e. go out, play in the sports teams, eat at popular hours etc
- Join societies (especially your subject society)
That's pretty much all you can do as a fresher. Later years if you want to become a BNOC (big name on campus) go for exec positions etc

Don't tie yourself down, a girlfriend can potentially diminish your own social circle - while you're out for dinner with her, everyone else is out and socialising, increasing their circle of contacts etc
Gym before lectures, the rest of the day can then be filled with study/sloots
Study hard - when you're in your final years sloots could see you as the go to guy for help
Get the balance right and uni will be some of the best years of your life!

No it isn't. I lived with 3 groups of people in halls and no one got laid once. It's not an orgie like you think.
OP don't make the mistake I did and go full beta and just stay inside all the time. Uni was chit because of this. If I could go back I'd join a chit load of societies because that is where you make friends. Sports clubs are the best, I did boxing the last year of uni and had some pretty sick nights out from those since those into sports are generally more social. For the love of God don't join the debating society or something like that though.
Join like 6 societies brah and unless you are full autism there's no way you won't make friends. Use those friends to go out. Smash bitches.Facial aesthetics determine attractiveness, all other attributes are just minor perks.

I lived with 5 girls in my 1st year, one gay guy and another bisexual guy.
All the girls ugly as chit, one was a 6/10 but a nasty little kunt who would talk chit behind other people's backs all the time. Personality made her a 3/10.
One huge fat girl who told me she had a dream she had sex with me, then laughed at it. Constantly made fun of me for 'eating so much', I called her out on it and she cried and said nobody in the flat even liked me.
Estrogen errywhere.
Halls is all about luck, just hope you get placed with good people OP.Facial aesthetics determine attractiveness, all other attributes are just minor perks.

Like everyone said try and get into halls, I didn't my first year and ended up renting a house with 3 randoms from the same uni but its not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Make some solid friends in halls and you will be invited over there for predrinks on nights out most of the time and will usually go back to the same halls after the club if you're doing it right.
Don't have sex with the same sloot more than twice if you don't want them to get super annoying and all up in your shiit.
Make sure you join a sports team and get fully involved with the socials as they will be like your family for the next few years.
If you get the oppurtunity in first year make sure you go on tour (ilovetour), it will honestly be the best week of your life and there are sloots EVERYWHERE! (look up saloufest)
Don't be a shy ******* on the first day otherwise you will see social groups forming in your lectures and you won't be able to get into any of them, take advantage of the fresh start.
Will post some more if I remember but doing these things made my first year the best year of my life

I'm sure your uni will have loads of football teams, I think mine goes up to a 5th team so you would be fine at any ability. Joining the sports clubs isn't really about the sport if you're looking to make friends its more about the social side of things if I'm honest. International students at my uni are usually Americans or Irish and they're usually pretty chill

+ You guys reckon itll make a massive different socially if im in on of the halls that arent on the main uni campus(where lectueres and 2000 people stay)? The other halls are on their own campus with 600 people usually on them
Left accomodation pretty late most of its gone
Theres like 3-4 different campuses, on of which in the main uni campus if that makes sense

Also leaving for uni in September, solid advice ITT, but its all a given anyways. Just talk to people, as long as you arnet socially retarded its not hard to make friends.
Another thing I was wondering, are uni girls seriously that easy to get with? I dont have much trouble getting laid anyways, but friends who went to uni always bang on about how everyone just wants to smash at uni. Apparently its just seriously easy on nights out to go home with girls.Arguing online is like running in the special Olympics, even if you win...you're still retarded.
