Finally hit a 500 lb deadlift yesterday and the satisfaction lasted about ten minutes. Took me two and a half months from 400 lbs on madcow.
Does anyone have a program that made the difference between 500 to 600?

stay on your program...
strengthen your core and hamstrings like its your job and your dead will come up
but most importantly dont overtrain that lower back heavy or you'll end up like the rest of us fattys with a a herniated L4 or L5
resting can be just as important as training sometimes
to keep my back fresh i do sumo one week, conventional the next and so on...

Correct, Ive only been training for hypertrophy for a couple of years previous to this. Gears have completely switched and Im only really interested in seeing how strong I can get, and surprisingly its worked really well so far haha.
Thanks for the advice mate. I reckon I'll keep it to 400/350 lbs this week and then drop back for skill work. Nothing like training with lighter weight to bring the heavy form up.
