Just saw the film and 10/10. Definetly the BEST comic book film Ive ever seen and it trumps X2, which previously held the title for me. Really it was perfect in almost every way and FAR exceeded my expectations.

If I had to have a comlpaint, it would be the lack of cameos and fan service. I was hoping to see some other Avengers characters pop up or be mentioned, but none of that unless I missed it. Really thats rather minor and doesnt take away from what was an otherwise phenomenal film.

This, but you're going to get a lot of flame from that post, i've said the same thing about The batman movies or Nolan's films and i got massive negs. The misc has a ver limited view of cinema, and if you try to show them something different and better you get negged, that's life brah.

how about no, anyone that thinks shawshank redemption is anything beyond good is a simpleton. Its got every feel good cliche a movie could have - redemption, a man over coming odds, unlikely friendship etc... all that stuff. yes good story telling and its well put together, but its nothing spectacular... so it pleases easy to please people.

Theres a reason its rated so highly by fans yet only above average by critics.

Avengers, for what it is (a super hero movie) compared to Shawshank redemption (a feel good drama), Avengers is miles ahead.
